Dave Portnoy destroys Aaron Rodgers and New York Jets over viral video filmed before Buffalo Bills humiliation
Dave Portnoy stormed into the New York Jets for an embarrassing viral moment before their 40-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon.
Footage of the Jets walking out of Highmark Stadium circulated widely online, showing an employee carrying a boombox as Coolie’s Gangsta’s Paradise blasted out.
The staffer stood directly next to quarterback Aaron Rodgers as he led his team onto the field for what turned out to be one of their most alarming displays of the season so far.
Portnoy shared the footage on his own social media feed, writing, “No matter how embarrassing you think your team is, you are not the Jets.”
Many fans agreed, with one responding to the Barstool founder’s question: “Dave, it’s already at rock bottom man. There is absolutely no need to pour napalm into the wound.’
Another said, “I hate being a Jets fan. It’s an absolutely embarrassing organization all around.”

Another follower wrote, “Every time I feel bad as a Dolphins fan, I think about the Jets and that makes me feel just a little bit better.”
The 40-14 loss left the Jets in the ruins of their season as they dropped to a 4-12 record for the season.
Rodgers admitted after the game that he benched Tyrod Taylor while the Jets were still scoreless in the fourth quarter.
“I mean, it was 33-0, we were sitting there and I said at one point we were probably going to go to Tyrod (Taylor) here, right?
“Then the next play (the Bills) threw a screen for a touchdown. So it became 40-0.’
The Jets end their miserable season on Sunday at MetLife Stadium against the Miami Dolphins.
Rodgers’ future out there is very uncertain. The 41-year-old could retire and even if he decides to keep playing, there’s no guarantee the Jets will bring him back.
The Jets would owe Rodgers a $35 million option bonus if they choose to bring him back before 2025.
