Dave Hughes claims Lindsay Lohan ‘annoyed’ Masked Singer panellists by spending too much time in her trailer: ‘What’s she doing in there?’

Dave Hughes has claimed his ‘personal friend’ Lindsay Lohan annoyed other panellists on The Masked Singer Australia.

On Thursday morning Hughesy, Ed and Erin from 2DAY FMHughes, 53, reminisced about his time co-hosting The Masked Singer with Lohan, 37, and revealed that the Hollywood star often held up production.

Hughesy said Lohan often turned a 20-minute break during filming into a three-hour break during the celebrity singing show.

“There’s a point where the head comes off and whoever’s under the head has to have makeup done,” Dave said.

‘So then you have a little break. But Lindsay often made that break last 2 to 3 hours because we couldn’t get her out of her trailer…what is Lindsay doing in the trailer?!” the radio host explained, before adding that he was a big fan of The Parent Trap star.

On Thursday morning’s 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin, the 53-year-old reminisced about his time co-hosting The Masked Singer with Lohan, 37, even though she often held up production.

‘I enjoyed Lindsay. But I think she irritated some of the other judges.”

It comes just a day after singer and actress Bette Midler partially blamed Lohan for the cancellation of her sitcom.

The 78-year-old Beaches star had a short-lived sitcom called Bette, which aired for just one season on CBS from 2000 to 2001, but was canceled due to increasingly poor ratings.

The movie star admitted she regrets doing the show alongside Lohan, who played her daughter.

After the pilot aired, the two-time Oscar nominee claimed Lohan refused to return.

‘[She] decided she didn’t want to do it, or she had other fish to fry,” Midler recalled in an episode of David Duchovny’s Fail better podcast. ‘So Lindsay Lohan left the building and I said, “Well, what do you do now?” And the studio didn’t help me. It was extremely chaotic.’

She continued, “If I had been in my right mind, or if I had known that it was my part of my duty to stand up and say, ‘There’s no way this is going to work, I’m going to file a lawsuit,’ then I would have done that. done.”‘

“But it seems like I was somehow conned into not being able to get into the writers’ room. I couldn’t talk to the showrunner. I couldn’t make myself clear,” the Hocus Pocus told listeners.

The series followed Midler playing herself in a semi-satirized version of her life.

The first season had 16 episodes and was largely autobiographical.

At the time, Lohan was fresh off the success of her 1998 film The Parent Trap and just a few years removed from being cast in some of her biggest hits, including Freaky Friday (2003) and Mean Girls (2004).

While it’s unclear if Midler still hates Lohan’s choice, the mother of one posted a sweet throwback to the set together last week.

“It was so fun filming with the incredible @bettemidler,” Lohan captioned a photo with the Broadway legend.
