Dave Hughes brands Chris Hemsworth ‘insecure’ and ‘desperate for reassurance’ as very surprising celebrity feud erupts

Comedian Dave Hughes has criticized Chris Hemsworth, accusing him of being deeply insecure.

During his 2Day FM breakfast show, Hughesy, Ed and radio host Erin, 52, responded to a recent Instagram post from Hemsworth.

In the post, Hemsworth, 40, shared a video of his daughter India watching one of his films while enjoying the luxury of a first-class cabin during a flight.

The Hollywood hunk then turned the camera around and winked at the audience. The video was captioned with “I swear it was her choice.”

But Hughesy responded to the star, admitting: ‘I think Chris Hemsworth is very insecure and I base that on his Instagram.’

“I’m here to say, Chris Hemsworth, your Instagram makes you look desperate,” he added.

His co-hosts then laughed at the outburst and accused Dave of posting similar “desperate” messages about his children on social media.

“I’m really desperate,” Hughes admitted. “I posted pictures of my kids, I get 30 likes, he has 1.6 million likes.”

Hemsworth has 58 million followers on his Instagram account.

Hughes, who has just 246,000 followers on his own account, came to Hemsworth’s defense after he was criticized for showing he is rich enough to fly first class.

“That’s ridiculous,” the comedian said.

But Hughesy didn't think the video was very cute, saying: 'I think Chris Hemsworth is very insecure and I'm basing that on his Instagram. I'm here to say, Chris Hemsworth, your Instagram makes you look desperate'

India already has an acting career under her belt after starring alongside her father in Thor: Love and Thunder as the daughter of Gorr (Christian Bale).

However, it wasn’t the first time the aspiring actor appeared on set with her movie star father.

The Australian actor shared a tribute to his daughter last year, posting two photos of himself and his daughter on the set of two different Thor films 11 years apart.

The first photo from 2012 shows a 6-foot Chris in costume gazing fondly at young India on the set of Thor: The Dark World.

The second shows Chris hugging his little girl as they film their scene together in the recently released Thor: Love and Thunder.

“She is my favorite superhero,” he sweetly wrote in the caption.

Despite her promising acting talent, Chris said he doesn’t want his daughter India to start acting so early in her life.

The handsome Hollywood star said he wanted his eldest child to have a childhood for now, but he is open to her taking up the trade when she is older.

“I want her to have a childhood and I think she does too,” he told ET Online.

“I said, ‘There’s plenty of time, honey. Go to school, ride horses, have fun, be a kid.” Because once the train is moving, it is difficult to get out and you miss a lot of things.’

Chris went on to say that he would like to support India in her acting endeavors “as she would like to do more things” when she is older.
