It’s times like these that you learn to love again. Dave Grohl’s wife Jordyn Blum is leaning on her closest friends after the rock star’s shock confession that he fathered a child with another woman outside their 21-year marriage.
The 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman made the shocking admission in a statement posted to his Instagram on Tuesday, telling fans he plans to be a “loving and supportive parent” to his new daughter.
Following his confession and amid rumors that he has already hired a divorce lawyer, Blum, 48, turned to her close friend, Hollywood A-lister Kate Hudson, who was reportedly “disgusted” when she heard the news.
“Jordyn is getting a lot of support from one of her best friends – Kate Hudson,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.
“She was surprised and disgusted that at his age, Dave was still cheating on not only Jordyn, but their girls as well.”

Hollywood A-lister Hudson, 45, was reportedly ‘disgusted’ when she heard the news, an insider told DailyMail.com
They added that Hudson, 45, has been comforting Blum since news of Grohl’s affair and the baby broke. He has daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, and is married to the musician.
‘[She even sent] “She gave her a big basket full of balloons with personal messages on them, including ‘Stay Strong,’” the source revealed.
‘Kate told Jordyn that she is there for her 24/7 and that she should always pick up the phone, even if it’s just to have a good cry or give her a hug or give her some encouragement.
“Kate would stay with her in a heartbeat if she asked.”
Blum and Hudson keep their friendship a secret. They often attend the same events, but they are rarely photographed together. The duo does follow each other on social media.
In February 2023, they were joined by Grohl and Leslie Mann at the Adidas Stella McCartney Party in Los Angeles, where the foursome posed for a group photo.
It’s unclear when they first became friends, but Hudson, who starred opposite Matthew McConaughey in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, previously dated fellow rocker and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, from 2010 to 2014.
The exes have a son, Bingham, 13.

The actress, who received an Oscar nomination for her role as a rock groupie in 2000’s Almost Famous, also released her debut album earlier this year and performed songs from the album to a star-studded audience in May, including her mother Goldie Hawn.
Grohl, who met ex-model Blum in 2001 and married them in 2003, shocked fans when he revealed he had fathered a fourth daughter with an unknown woman.
“I recently became the father of a baby girl, born out of wedlock,” he wrote in a statement Tuesday, shattering his image as Rock’s Mr. Nice Guy. “I intend to be a loving and supportive parent to her.
“I love my wife and my children, and I am committed to earning their trust and forgiveness. We are grateful for your attention to all the children involved as we move forward together.”
On Wednesday, a now-deleted Instagram post by user @valeriegreyston went viral, featuring a photo of a baby named “Roxie Junie Grohl,” who the user claimed was Grohl’s daughter.
However, a spokesperson for the former Nirvana drummer told TMZ it is fake.
The rocker, who is often described as a “family man,” has spoken many times over the years about how important family is to him.
In 2007 he told The Guardian: ‘[My wife] Jordyn and [daughter] Violet is an anchor that keeps me from disappearing completely.’

An Instagram post claiming it was his newborn daughter, named Roxie Junie Grohl, went viral, but a spokesperson for Grohl later told TMZ it was fake.
Speaking to TIME in 2012, he said his family “changed everything I do.”
“When you have kids, you see life through different eyes,” he said. “You feel love more deeply and maybe you’re a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that will find its way into your songwriting.”
Before Grohl met Blum, his past as a rock star was plagued by rumors — and confessions — of infidelity.
He divorced his first wife, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, in 1997 after admitting to cheating. Reflecting on their three-year marriage in 1999, he said, “I was 25, my wife was younger. We weren’t ready to be married.”
He then dated Louise Post of the band Veruca Salt, who accused him of cheating on her with actress Winona Ryder and a handful of other women.
In 2002, he appeared to confirm his status as a womanizer when he confirmed that he “did” groupies.
“Groupies come to the back,” he told The Face. “They know what they want; they know what the band wants. It just happens. It’s that easy.”
