The daughter of a late cricket legend has paid an emotional tribute to her father after tying the knot in the Philippines.

Dean Jones is widely regarded as one of Australian cricket’s most beloved players and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019.

The stylish batsman who played for his country in the 1980s and 1990s passed away in September 2020 at the age of just 59.

He suffered a stroke at his hotel in Mumbai, India, while commentating on the Indian Premier League.

Last Wednesday, Phoebe Jones – one of the Victorian’s three children – married her partner Dario Gomez on the island of Boracay in the Philippines.

And she made sure her father wasn’t forgotten on her special day, having the number 324 embroidered on the veil she wore.

Jones was, of course, the 324th player to represent the Test team.

Phoebe’s sister Augusta was a bridesmaid and her mother, Jane, was one of the guests at the ceremony.

The wedding had a white theme and also included a sand sculpture with the words ‘Dario & Phoebe weddig, April 24, 2024’.

Phoebe posted on Instagram: ‘Feeling all the love after the week of our dreams.’

Augusta wrote: “The most beautiful week honoring Mr. and Mrs. Gomez, so many smiles, tears and everlasting memories.”
