I found out my daughter had changed gender at school when teachers called her ‘he’ at parents’ evening: Furious mother says teachers pretend being trans is ‘all glitter and unicorns’ without worrying about long-term medical impact

A mother discovered her teenage daughter had decided she was actually a man when her teachers called her ‘he’ at a parents’ evening, it has been claimed.

The West Country school started using male pronouns to refer to the 13-year-old girl without telling her shocked mother.

That’s despite the fact that her mother believed that affirming her daughter’s choice was a slippery slope to gender reassignment hormones and often irreversible surgery.

The mother accused the school of “trying to collect bonus points for diversity and inclusion” by pretending to be transgender. It was all about “glitter and unicorns,” but she ignored the long-term medical impact.

She was even asked if her daughter could stay in a boys’ dormitory during a school trip.

She said The Telegraphh: ‘I asked if they couldn’t see that there is a potential for sex with minors, non-consensual sex, teenage pregnancies.

‘I asked them what kind of safety risk assessment they had carried out, but there was no answer.’

She added: “If my child was of African descent and you found out the breasts were being tied, would you do anything?

“Because she’s a white, middle-class kid, because she identifies as a boy, it’s somehow okay.”

It came as it was also claimed that primary school teachers are being told to change gender behind their backs.

A survey of equality and transgender policies in more than 600 schools in Devon and Cornwall found that a large majority (73 and 62 percent respectively) misrepresented equality laws.

According to some school policies, children ‘as young as five’ could show signs of gender dysphoria.

They also said that biological sex is “assigned at birth depending on the child’s appearance.”

A high school reportedly stated that sex is “a person’s understanding and experience of their own gender identity.”

Dr Hilary Cass’s interim report, published in 2022, said ‘social transition’ – where children can change their pronouns or names – was ‘not a neutral act’.
