Police have charged a woman with the murder of her own mother.
Widow Anna Jones, 44, a mother of two, was found dead in her home shortly before officers took her eldest daughter Bronwyn into custody.
Neighbors said they heard screams when Jones, 25, was arrested outside her mother’s Edwardian flat.
A forensic tent was still standing outside the front window on the ground floor of Mrs Jones’ home yesterday, with a police car parked outside, following her death on Tuesday. Officers were called just before 8 p.m.
Jones, also known as Bron, describes himself as a computer gamer, ‘geek/nerd’, ‘strong and very intelligent’. She appeared before magistrates in Portsmouth this morning.
