A family has been left heartbroken after a “beautiful” young woman collapsed and died suddenly in her father’s arms despite their best efforts to try to save her life.

Libbey Peverall, who was just 20 years old, did not have any underlying health problems when she passed away suddenly in traumatic scenes at her family home in West Drayton, Greater London, last Monday.

Libbey, who aspired to become a beautician, was described as loved by all who knew her, and her shocking death on February 20 has devastated her parents and brother.

now they are raising money via GoFundMe to help with his funeral costs, with almost £3,000 donated as of this afternoon.

Her brother Charlie said: ‘She was a beautiful girl, she was absolutely stunning. Whatever she wanted, my mom and dad would get. She wouldn’t say a bad word about anyone and she was always worried about my mom and dad.

An aspiring beautician, Libbey (pictured) was described as loved by all who knew her, and her shocking death on February 20 has devastated her parents and brother.

Libbey had suffered severe bullying at her school, leading to her being homeschooled from the age of 14. She continued to live in fear of her abusers, who continued to attack her despite her attempts to distance herself from her, and this led to her developing mental health problems.

Despite this, Libbey had ‘everything going for her’ and had recently passed her driving test and devoted her time to her dog Lottie. She was a huge soccer fan and Manchester City supporter, but she regularly accompanied Charlie to see Chelsea FC in west London.

Although she had suffered no previous medical events other than her mental health, she collapsed last week and the family is still awaiting an explanation of how she died. Charlie said: ‘She woke up on Monday and my dad said ‘you want a cup of coffee’, she always had coffee in the morning and said that she preferred a cup of tea.

“So he made her a cup of tea and then all of a sudden she said, ‘I have a chest pain.'” She suffers from panic attacks so my dad gave her a brown bag to blow into and she basically stood up and then collapsed in my dad’s arms.

“My dad really went above and beyond to help her and he did CPR on her, everything. She tried so hard. In about five to ten minutes, the ambulances showed up and treated her for about an hour and a half while my mom and dad were like, “Please don’t give up on her, please don’t give up.”

‘She was a beautiful girl, she was absolutely stunning. Whatever she wanted, my mom and dad would get it for her,” said Libbey’s brother, Charlie.

Charlie received a call a short time later to tell him that Libbey was having a suspected heart attack and was no longer breathing. She got in the car and had arrived in St Albans when his mother told her that she had unfortunately passed away.

“I screamed in the car, he hit me really hard,” he said. “We did everything together, we played soccer together, and just before Christmas we went to Winter Wonderland together.

“She was my only sister and everyone says ‘I know how you feel,’ but until it happens to someone, which I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy, you don’t know how she feels.

‘My mom is in pieces, I’m trying to stay strong for her and it seems like I still haven’t cried properly. She feels like she’s on vacation and will be walking through the door soon.

“For the last two days, it’s starting to feel a bit like reality. I’m just trying to deny it somehow.

The family is now awaiting the coroner’s report before they can start arranging for his funeral.

Despite their anguish, they have only kind words for the London Ambulance Service paramedics who worked tirelessly to try and revive Libbey.

“My mother had a heart attack right after Libbey was born, so they’re trying to find out if she’s in the family,” Charlie said.

‘They had never seen anything like this at the age of 20, it even shocked the paramedics. They really did everything they could to bring her back, I’ve never heard of paramedics coming up to you and not wanting to leave, the support they provided was amazing.”

Her family was left distraught by Libbey’s death, with her brother adding: “A lot of people loved her, she’s incredible.”
