A dashcam captured the moment a frightened motorist encountered three people in the middle of the highway in the middle of the night.
The images were captured shortly before 11pm on Monday evening near Meelon, 105 kilometers south of Perth.
It shows the driver approaching a bright light before two men are seen dragging a third person lying in the middle of the road.
Startled, the driver swerved to avoid hitting the group and stopped as soon as he passed them.

As the driver approached, two of the men began pulling a third person (above) toward their car, which was parked across the road.
Hundreds of commenters were shocked by the trio’s carelessness and wondered if the person had been injured on the road.
“Three people could so easily have been squashed,” one said.
“Did the other car hit that guy?” wrote another.
“Let’s just park with the high beams on, no hazard lights, and run down the dark road on a corner with no reflective material,” joked another.
‘Strange situation. I would like to know the story behind it,” said a fourth.
“Just taking a nap in the middle of the road,” wrote another.
