Shocking dash cam clip captures moment driver ‘falls asleep behind the wheel’ and crashes into multiple homes – injuring one man
Shocking dashcam footage has captured the moment a sleeping driver crossed several lanes before crashing into a house and several parked cars.
Images captured on Thursday show the red Cadillac drifting down a main road in Ogden, Utah.
After initially crossing one lane, the Cadillac continues on its way and manages to avoid a collision with oncoming traffic who swerve to avoid the rogue vehicle.
While crossing the road, the car bounces along a sidewalk and collides with several parked cars before crashing into a house.
Police later confirmed that the driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old John Green, had fallen asleep at the wheel.

“Two traffic investigators arrived on scene and determined that the driver had fallen asleep at the wheel, causing him to cross lanes and crash into parked cars,” Ogden Police Lt. Will Farr wrote in a statement. rack posted on Facebook.
“This incident serves as a critical reminder of the dangers associated with drowsy driving.
‘Low driving is a serious and often underestimated danger. It can slow response times, hinder decision-making and significantly increase the risk of accidents.”
One man was working on his stationary car, which was parked in his driveway, when the car crashed into him.
Dezmond Guillen, the brother of injured man Edgar Guillen, said the 30-year-old was “crushed” when he was hit.
‘He has nine broken ribs. His two lungs on both sides have holes in them that have collapsed,” Guillen said KSL.
Traffic investigators determined that alcohol and drugs were not factors in causing Green, who escaped the collision unscathed, to fall asleep.
Yet he still received a summons for ‘failure to keep safe and improper lookout’, but released him shortly afterwards.
The car also collided with two other vehicles before overturning and coming to a stop

Dezmond Guillen and his family believe Green was actually under the influence, citing bloodshot eyes and stumbling out of the car.
‘He got out of the car. He ran from the scene. He came back there. He saw the ambulance. He came back in a different jersey,” Dezmond Guillen said.
The family said they believe Green deserves a harsher sentence than just a citation.
“I feel like there was a lot more that needed to be done,” Dezmond Guillen said. “Just seeing (my brother) in pain and not being able to move and confusing him like that, not knowing where he is, and him really upsets me that it had to go this route in the end.”
The Guillen family has one GoFundMe for Edgar Guillen.
