Darren McMullen made a neat appearance at Derby Day in Melbourne on Tuesday.

The TV presenter was joined by a gorgeous brunette friend as he walked the Flemington grounds for this year’s Melbourne Cup Carnival.

The 40-year-old looked chic in a striped navy suit, complete with a cardigan and retro chain detail.

He added a pale pink pocket square, a white shirt and a polka dot tie in a silk fabric.

The host of Real Love Boat completed his look with a pair of black dress shoes and baby pink socks.

His girlfriend looked stunning in a fitted pink dress with a matching headband and pointed black heels.

It comes after the TV personality revealed that he suffered a heartbreak when he helped others find love this year.

Darren found that his relationship with his long-term partner Milena Gattegno broke down when he “bloomed love” on The Real Love Boat.

He opened up to The Daily Telegraph about what it was like to see sexy singles mingle as he mourned the loss of his connection to The Faders DJ.

‘It’s all very fresh. It was hard doing the show because as I watched love blossom and all these people go through the sparks of finding a new connection, I was going through a huge heartbreak myself,” he said.

Darren and Milly were “best friends for 15 years” before dating.

“I love her dearly and probably because of the mistakes I made in the relationship it broke and it’s just devastating,” he explained.

“And so it was hard to host a dating show while going through a heartbreak myself and trying to pull myself together.”

Milly, who used to be an MTV publicist, has kept her life very private. However, she has been spotted several times hanging out with her good friend Pip Edwards.

Darren previously hosted The Voice Australia for four seasons and was also a contestant on The Masked Singer in 2019.

He also appeared on Channel Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice Australia.
