Darby Ward gives birth: Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Dawn Ward’s daughter welcomes her second child with businessman husband Michael Jackson

Darby Ward, the daughter of Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Dawn Ward, has given birth to her second child.

The influencer, 28, and her businessman husband Michael Jackson, are already parents to daughter Skye Lynne, two.

Darby announced the news on her Instagram page on Sunday, revealing that the couple has named their bundle of joy River Rosa Jackson.

She wrote: ‘River Rosa Jackson – 11/06/24. 7 pounds, 4 ounces of perfection… we are completely in love with our little girl.”

On her Instagram Story, Darby revealed: ‘I was induced… the birth process was absolutely amazing and she arrived unnoticed and a beautiful, healthy baby girl.

‘I had a haemorrhage after birth which was quite scary… but the team at Macclesfield Hospital were so responsive and honestly incredible throughout my whole birth and recovery process.

‘I can’t recommend the maternity ward there enough! We have both received incredible care and support.”

She added: ‘Mike was there and held my hand the entire time, even when things didn’t go to plan after the birth he was so calm and an absolute rock.’

Darby shared a gallery of sweet snaps alongside the announcement, including one of daughter Skye planting a kiss on her little sister’s head.

The influencer also shared a photo of the family leaving the hospital, along with Michael carrying the newborn and Skye with some pink heart-shaped balloons.

In a black and white photo, Dawn was seen cradling her grandchild in the hospital while wrapped in a towel and knitted hat.

Dawn wrote in the comments, “You were amazing, and our little river was just perfect. I can’t wait to watch her grow up every day with our beautiful Sky.

“Darby, you blow me away with what an incredible mother you are. She is such a valuable addition to our family.”

Dawn also took to her social media account and shared an adorable video of Skye cradling her little sister on the couch at home.

‘She is absolutely beautiful, just perfect. It already feels like she has been with us forever.

“When I had Darby 28 years ago, I didn’t think it was possible to love another child as much as I loved her. Then came Taylor, Charlie and Aston, you love them all exactly the same.

‘But I must admit that I was very worried about having a second grandchild, let alone a third, and I must say that it is the same as before, the love I have for all three of them is another lever !

‘To say we are over the moon with the arrival of another granddaughter is an understatement. A sister for Skye and another nephew for Mila. I’m so excited.’

She continued, “Darby, you were an absolute star during the birth. I am so proud of the wonderful mother you are.

‘Thank you to you and Michael for allowing me to be there again, it’s the most amazing feeling that I’m so grateful for.

‘Macclesfield Hospital was just exceptional from start to finish, all the midwives and doctors were on another level, thank you very much.

“Our family is growing every year and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait to spend time together on River’s first vacation this summer.

‘P,s this has to be the cutest video I’ve seen in a long time. My heart melts when I see how much love Skye already has for her little sister.’

Darby revealed she was expecting a second child in December 2023 with a sweet Instagram post, in which she posed alongside Michael and Skye.

The influencer showed off her growing baby bump as Skye held up a sonogram. Darcy captioned the post: “Baby Jackson.”

‘Blessed to have another little addition to our family! We are so excited to meet your little one… Skye is a very, very excited Big Sister. Here we go again….’

Her famous friends and family quickly took to the comments section to share their congratulations to the happy couple.

Mum Dawn wrote: ‘Honestly I can’t wait, best news ever, it’s been hard to keep quiet, get back to mum and dad soon then we can start planning, it’s definitely the best news ever, I can can’t believe it’s number 3 and we couldn’t be happier.’

Dawn and former Premier League footballer Ashley Ward, 53, married in 1995 and have four daughters: Darby, Taylor, Aston and Charlie.

Darby and Michael announced their second child would be a girl in a March Instagram video taken while they were skiing in the French resort of Courchevel.

The couple were standing on a mountain with family when Michael pulled the cannon, releasing pink smoke and revealing they will soon welcome a second daughter.

Darby captioned the Instagram post, “Baby Girl, we can’t wait to meet you! Skye is so excited to have a sister!!!! I am so happy and blessed to have another baby girl join the family…

Darby married Michael in a luxurious wedding in the south of France in 2022, surrounded by their loved ones.

At the time, she told HELLO! magazine: ‘The day was a million times more beautiful than we could ever have imagined.’

Darby announced her engagement to boyfriend Michael in August 2019, after he proposed during a romantic getaway to the French Riviera.
