According to The sunover the weekend, Dara revealed his decision to the audience during an appearance at the Paddy Power Comedy Festival in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens.

The comic gushed about being proud of how “strong, powerful and fierce” his youngest child, a 15-year-old daughter, is becoming.

He confessed that his only way to control her is to threaten to show up in Strictly and admit, “I’ve got nothing in this fight.”

“I’ve been reduced to saying ‘stop it, stop it’ in this disciplinary battle – ‘stop it, or I’ll continue Strictly Come Dancing and you’ll see me dance.’ I will dance hard and I will go to Latin week. I’ll cha cha cha!”.

But then Dara insisted, “I can never do the dance show.” That will never happen.’

Elsewhere over the weekend, while filming the final episode of Mock the Week, Dara reportedly made fun of the infamous “Strictly Curse.”

The strip recounted how he scared his teenage daughter by threatening to bring a Strictly film crew to her school to let her meet his dance partner.

Dara joked, “I told her I’ll yell ‘baby, look here – watch me dance and say hello to your new mama’.”

He added: ‘Strictly Come Dancing is all over the world. But Britain is the only country where celebrities fuck the dancers.’

Strictly will be waltzing onto screens again this year, marking the milestone 21st series since the show’s inception in 2004.

But with the Quicksteps and Waltzes, the romantic rumors and inevitable breakups of couples have entered the show.

While some couples broke up while on the show, amicably or otherwise, many fell apart in the months after the glitzy lights in the famed ballroom dimmed.
