Australian boxing legend Danny Green has reignited his long-standing rivalry with Anthony Mundine, promising his son Archie will battle the sons of ‘The Man’ in the coming years.

On Wednesday evening at Stan Sport’s Uncaged boxing eventGreen suggested the two families could continue the greatest rivalry in Australian boxing history.
“My boy Archie’s coming for your boys, buddy, don’t worry about it, Choc,” Green announced during his commentary, as the camera showed Mundine watching the action in the stands with two of his sons.
‘The next generation. It’s going to happen.’

Boxing legend Danny Green has challenged Anthony Mundine’s sons to fight his son Archie
Mundine and Green have one of the greatest rivalries in Australian sport
Green, a four-time world boxing champion, has been posting clips of his son Archie on social media in recent months, with the teen looking very sharp as he masters the sweet science.
Mundine has three sons – Rahim, Malik and Anthony – all of whom are excellent athletes in their own right.
In Wednesday’s main event, Paulo Aokuso defeated Clay Waterman on points to claim the WBC Australasian light heavyweight title.
Earlier in the evening, former NRL bad boy Curtis Scott defeated former All Blacks hardman Liam Messam and called out former UFC star Darren Till.
Messam and Scott, 27, traded a number of brutal blows in the ring during their battle of the codes, with the latter landing some brutal shots on his Kiwi opponent, who had an unbeaten record of seven fights before entering the ring.
The New Zealander, who had played club rugby for the Chiefs and retired from the sport in 2020 after 43 Test appearances, was Scott’s toughest opponent to date.
Scott now has his eye on a more talented opponent, and fresh off his victory over Messam he revealed he was now targeting a fight with former MMA star Till.
“There’s a bit of talk about me fighting Darren Till, so if you bring him to Australia it would be a huge fight for the Australian public,” he told Sporting News Australia after the fight.
Mundine responded to the call and was seemingly open to the challenge
The former world champions have had a professional rivalry dating back more than two decades
Till appeared at an explosive press conference on Tuesday afternoon ahead of his highly anticipated fight against Tommy Fury on January 18 in Manchester.
Sparks flew during the media event where Till threatened to kick Fury in the face during the fight. Meanwhile, the former Love Island contestant’s father John was the center of attention. He got up from his seat to throw a glass of water at Till, but instead soaked his son Tommy.
After taking on Fury, Scott was enticed by the prospect of bringing the Liverpudlian to Australia next year for a possible fight on the Gold Coast.
“There’s been some talk in the media and stuff,” Scott added.
“He’s in the boxing business now. Obviously he’s a big name and Australia is a fun place. So it could be a nice holiday for him. And if we can make that happen, that would be great.”
