Danny Dyer says the secret to his 7lb weight loss is starving himself for 16 hours
Danny Dyer has revealed that he lost 7 pounds after fasting for 16 hours a day.
The former EastEnders star, 45, said he thinks ‘exercise is b******s’ and has moved to intermittent fasting instead.
Danny built a state-of-the-art gym in the garden of his Essex home, costing thousands, in an effort to shift a few pounds after eldest daughter and Love Island winner Dani, 26, said she was worried about his health.
He told The mirror: ‘I had a gym built and my intention was to start running. [But now] I don’t think it’s good for the heart. Practice… I think it’s b******s.”
The Scared Of The Dark presenter, who shares three children with wife Joanne Mas, now relies on a mix of yoga and intermittent fasting to shed some weight.

Danny said he is also not willing to give up his guilty pleasures, which are ‘Stella and crackers’.
The actor said he sometimes eats his wife’s dishes, but also likes to eat away from home and regularly visits his local carvery.
He added: ‘My wife, sometimes she cooks for me. But when she cooks it with anger and bangs pots, it just tastes like shit.
“There’s a place called Toby Carvery and you have to queue for a roast… I’ve got a platinum card!”
It comes after Danny and his daughter Dani reportedly swear more than 70 times during the opening episode of their brand new travel show.
The father-daughter duo have teamed up for a new four-part series Absolutely Dyer: Danny And Dani Do Italy, which kicks off on E4 on Sunday, April 23 at 9 p.m.
During the upcoming debut episode of the show, the EastEnders star and his Love Island star daughter reportedly swore a whopping 74 times.
According to The Sun, editors gave up on the use of beeps after the opening sequence of expletives.

Bad language emerged once when Danny was driving down busy roads in Palermo, Sicily, reportedly saying to Dani, “Look at this goddamn lunatic here in his Panda, damn it, he’s got the hump.” They like mopeds, don’t they?’
The pair also allegedly used a series of curse words while trekking to an active volcano on Stromboli Island.
Danny reportedly said, “I need a strong lager because we’re going to take on this bastard, it’s bubbling away and making noises.”
“I don’t know if it’s burping or what the hell it’s doing. Let’s do it, hey.’

Absolutely Dyer will follow Danny and his daughter on a cultural tour of Italy, taking in the scenic landscape, history and art of the entire country.
Their visit begins in Sicily, where they spend a week exploring, tasting street food, climbing a volcano and talking about life together.
The first episode of the four-part series will air on E4 on Sunday and will later be available as a full box set on Channel 4.

Their latest venture comes after Danny has given up his decade-long stint as Mick Carter in EastEnders.
The actor’s final scenes as Mick Carter aired on Christmas Day, and saw Queen Vic’s landlord mysteriously lost at sea after jumping into the water to save his estranged wife Linda.
Danny previously said if his career fails, he might head back to Albert Square in a few years, joking that he’d be ‘covered in seaweed’ back in Walford after a salty turn.
The soap actor admitted that he “misses” many of the stars he worked with on the show, and gushed that he “loves them very much.”
Danny has returned to work and has also been busy filming a two-part Channel 4 series entitled 21st Century Man.

The Sun reported that in the film, Danny explores what it means to be a man in modern Britain, as he explores topics such as toxic masculinity, gender roles and men’s mental health.
Danny previously hosted the popular Bravo documentaries The Real Football and Danny Dyer’s Deadliest Men.
A show insider said of his new Channel 4 project, “This will be new territory for Danny and viewers will see a whole new side of him.
“He’ll still have his usual bravado, but these are serious matters he’s looking into and he’s behaving accordingly. The look at toxic masculinity is particularly deep. It’s a hugely sensitive documentary all around.’
The star is believed to have filmed scenes with male and female victims of domestic violence and is also heading to a soft play center to meet families affected by trauma.
