Danny Cipriani claims he cut his wrists after his ex-girlfriend Kelly Brook ‘slapped him’ when she caught him chatting up a stripper in Las Vegas

Danny Cipriani has claimed he cut himself after a huge fight with his ex-girlfriend Kelly Brook when she caught him chatting to a stripper during a trip to Las Vegas.

The rugby player, 35, who dated Kelly, 43, for two years, in 2008 and 2010, has said Kelly ‘wrapped him’ after catching him in the act.

Danny shared how his relationship with the radio host broke down after Kelly suggested he get a lap dance at a strip club, which led to a raging argument.

In his new autobiography, Danny claimed he was drunk and the stripper “appeared to be doing more than dancing.”

Danny revealed that he sang some cheesy lyrics and told the stripper that he planned to break up with Kelly and be back in Sin City the following week.

But later that night, he said the stripper told all of her friends and others in the bathroom what Danny said, including Kelly.

He claimed, “Kelly came out and punched me in the face.”

Danny said Kelly had to be ‘restrained’ by bouncers at the club, but once he got back to hospital he picked up a piece of broken glass.

He explained how he broke his skin with the glass and said: “I just went by myself like that.

“I felt like I just… I couldn’t express how I felt because I had so much inside that I hadn’t dealt with yet. So I guess that was the route I had to take.’

The relationship was incredibly up and down and it seems Danny didn’t know where he stood with his other half, who he claimed was “not doing deep and meaningful.”

Danny’s autobiography Who am I? is scheduled for release on September 14 and sees the star open up about their rocky relationship.

The couple broke up in June of that year, and it wasn’t long before Kelly started dating his boyfriend in November, leaving Danny heartbroken.

But Danny also claimed that Kelly cheated on her new boyfriend Thom Evans with him by going on a secret vacation together.

After they broke up, Danny has revealed that he was insanely jealous of the pair, especially considering that he considered Thom a friend after they were Wasp’s teammates for two years until 2006.

The sports star has now revealed how hurt he was about Kelly and Thom’s relationship and how he sought her behind his friend’s back.

He claimed that when Kelly was in Australia working for the Melbourne Rebels, Kelly kept messaging him, leaving the sportsman confused.

He claimed that he and Kelly had secretly met in Mauritius when she was still dating Thom, despite Danny’s feelings that it was immoral.

But despite Danny thinking Kelly was what he wanted, he admitted that even when they got back together, it wasn’t the fairytale ending he had hoped for.

He joined the England rugby union team in 2007, but it was his relationship with Kelly that catapulted him to a new level of fame.

When Thom and Kelly announced they were expecting a baby in March 2011, Danny felt devastated.

Tragically, the couple lost the baby when Kelly miscarried when she was five months pregnant, and Danny claims the secret trip to Mauritius happened after the devastating event.

When Kelly and Thom finally split in January 2013, she denied speculation that Danny was involved and claimed that she and Thom had mutually agreed to go their separate ways.

She and Danny rekindled things for a quick fling, but the period after her didn’t last found X-rated messages from dozens of other women on his cellphone.

Danny’s words come in retaliation after the TV personality wrote her own words 2014 autobiography that Danny was so busy chasing women that he couldn’t find time to flush the toilet.

Years later, Danny is now married to Mental health activist Victoria Rose, 42, after they tied the knot in 2021.
