Heathrow appoints Copenhagen airport boss as CEO: Thomas Woldbye will replace John Holland-Kaye if he steps down

Heathrow has appointed Copenhagen Airport boss as CEO.

Thomas Woldbye will succeed John Holland-Kaye when he retires later this year after nearly ten years.

Heathrow chairman Lord Deighton said: ‘Thomas’ performance in Copenhagen not only reflects Heathrow’s long-term strategy, but his track record of successfully running a major airport and working closely with stakeholders to build consensus and deliver positive results, dropped on.’

Woldbye has been CEO of Copenhagen Airport since 2011.

He forged strong ties with the government and fostered partnerships with airlines to boost investment and development, the airport said.

Woldbye said: ‘Heathrow is a major engine of the UK economy and inseparable from the success of London and the UK.

“My ambition is to make the airport even better for passengers, airlines, the community and every part of the UK.”
