Daniel Stoneman: Brisbane Wedding singer accused of rape is dealt yet another blow

A wedding singer is facing new charges after initially appearing in court last month charged with four counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

Daniel Stoneman, 34, has now also been charged with deprivation of liberty, recording invading privacy, distributing intimate images without consent, assault occasioning bodily harm and three counts of common assault.

He appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 2 for alleged sexual offenses relating to two women he met on a dating app.

That violations are alleged to have occurred on the Gold Coast in 2019 and last year in Brisbane.

The new charges facing Stoneman, from Shailer Park, were mentioned in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday. Courier mail reported.

He was charged on March 20 and the alleged offenses are alleged to have taken place in Brisbane.

Stoneman, who is in custody, has not appeared in court or entered a plea.

The case has been postponed to Monday, April 8.

The musician charges up to $3,000 to perform at weddings across south-east Queensland, from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast.

“Daniel will work with you to meet all requirements and expectations for your event, including creating a set list to suit your event and learning new songs not yet in his repertoire,” his website says.

It adds: ‘He also likes to take requests during a performance.’
