Daniel Ricciardo posts topless photo from his hospital bed, informing fans about surgery on his broken hand – just after being pictured shirtless and ‘jacked up’ on the cover of an erotic novel

- Was recently pictured topless on the cover of an erotic novel
Daniel Ricciardo has posted a shirtless post-surgery photo from his hospital bed following a crash during a practice session that left him unable to compete in the Dutch Grand Prix with a broken wrist.
The Australian put his AlphaTauri into the steeply banked turn three during practice at Zandvoort on Friday and would have been fine if he hadn’t released his grip on the handlebars upon impact with the wall.
His blow seemed to have come about after he was distracted by the McLaren of Oscar Piastri, his compatriot who had just hit the wall at the same point on the Zandvoort circuit.
The 34-year-old was taken to a local hospital with his left arm in a sling. An X-ray later revealed a broken metacarpal bone in his left hand.
On Monday morning, he gave an update via Instagram about his injury after surgery.

The Aussie F1 star was recently pictured shirtless in an erotic novel
‘Hello everyone. I had surgery this morning and got my first piece of metal work so that’s pretty cool,” he wrote alongside a shirtless photo of himself.
“Many thanks to everyone who reached out and gave me the courage.
“This is not a setback, it’s all part of the comeback.”
The shirtless shot of the beloved star comes just a week after he made headlines for being pictured chiseled and topless on the cover of an erotic novel.
Anita Driver’s 34-page novella, titled “Overtake My Heart: Thicc Ric Races for Love,” was published in July and is available on Goodreads and Amazon.
The Australian F1 driver called the Eff One with DRS podcast to discuss the book with presenter Dax Shepard.
“I’ve never heard of this, I think I’m flattered, I don’t know, but I can’t say I’ve heard of it,” he said.
“I also assume you’re not joking, but I’m very gullible,” he added.
Red Bull boss Christian Horner thinks Ricciardo can drive again for the Singapore GP
Daniel soon realized it was very real when he was shown the cover of the book, which features an illustration of him looking very pale indeed.
‘What the hell is this? But I look bad,” he said laughing.
The cover also indicates that this book is one of 69 in the Daniel Ricciardo Erotic Adventure Series.
One racy passage reads: “Emily found herself drawn to the sight, her heart racing as she imagined what it would feel like to touch that thick, powerful neck.
“No other neck can compare to it. They say a man is 75 percent water, but Daniel isn’t. He was 75 percent neck.”
Red Bull boss Christian Horner thinks Ricciardo can drive again in time for the Singapore Grand Prix on September 17.
“I’m sure he probably has Singapore as a target in the back of his mind. But again, Singapore is probably one of the toughest tracks on the calendar. But nature will take its course,” Horner said.
