Daniel Radcliffe spoke about the “terrifying” and “terrifying” nature of fatherhood on Monday.
The Harry Potter star (34) shares a six-month-old son with American actress Erin Darke (39), with whom he has been dating since 2012.
Asked by E! On the news of the newborn’s condition, Daniel said: “There’s a short and a long answer to that.” And the short answer is that it’s great and he’s the best thing that ever happened.
“The long version? Honestly, it’s terrifying to have a human being in a world that I care so much about.’
He added: “Everything he does will affect how I feel about my life for the rest of my life. So, you know, it’s scary.’

Longtime partner: The Harry Potter star (34) shares a son with American actress Erin Darke (39), with whom he has been dating since 2012.

Neither Daniel nor Erin have revealed the face or name of their son, born in April.
Daniel currently stars in the American animated apocalyptic sitcom Mulligan, alongside Chrissy Teigen and Tina Fey.
He’s also on Broadway, starring in a revival of Merrily We Roll Along that opened Sunday.
The musical first debuted in 1981 and tells the story of how the lives and friendships of three friends change over the course of 20 years.
Erin most recently starred in the March-released sci-fi romantic comedy Molly and Max in the Future.
Daniel and Erin first met on the set of the 2013 American biographical drama Kill Your Darlings.
They played a couple in the film, and Daniel later admitted that he was immediately attracted to Erin.
