A-League legend Daniel McBreen is lucky to be alive after a runaway truck rammed his Tesla, totalling 18 other cars and crashing into a primary school.
McBreen, a former Central Coast Mariners player and Network 10 football pundit, survived a terrifying incident at Moorebank in Sydney’s south-west on Saturday afternoon.
The fully loaded truck lost control at a notorious intersection before crashing into nineteen cars and eventually hitting a classroom at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School.
McBreen shared the moment he was almost swept away by the truck, sending vehicles flying through the air before hitting his car.
“Interesting day today,” he posted to X. “Luckily we’re okay, and hopefully everyone else is, but that’s our white Tesla. It was a very scary moment.”
McBreen then posted the dashcam footage from his Tesla, writing: “Dashcam. Post this only because there are only minor injuries. I don’t know how.’
Emergency services freed the trapped male truck driver after the incident.
Police are investigating whether the driver had a medical episode prior to the accident.

“It went off the road, crashed into the gate of the local church and ended up underneath a classroom at the school,” Sergeant Shaun Colls told 7News.
“Luckily it’s the weekend (so there were no kids at school),” he said.
A later statement from police said: ‘The driver was trapped in his cab for almost 40 minutes before being freed by NSW Fire Services and taken to hospital in Liverpool.’
Eight other people were treated at the scene by ambulance crews. Two of them were taken to Liverpool Hospital.
No one, including the driver, was seriously injured.

The truck got stuck in a classroom at the school, while traffic came to a standstill due to the scale of the accidents.
NSW Fire and Rescue attended the scene to assess the structural safety of the building.
“The truck is being towed for mechanical examination while the building is checked for structural damage,” police said.
