She said that Mr. Lightfoot was “the funniest, most hilarious” and “wonderful” father any girl could ask for.

“My dad was my biggest fan,” Paris said.

“She pampered me so much, not many girls can say that their daddy bought them a pony, but mine did without telling mommy.”

“He was certainly the only parent to bring a bottle of French champagne to an AFL game.”

At one point in the service, a woman in a kilt danced while a man played the bagpipes.

Paris shared how her father “taught me to be happy, outgoing and make people laugh.”

“He taught me to be me unapologetically,” she said.

“Unfortunately, I didn’t get his talent because it was unique.”

“(I hope you’re) laughing and joking and dancing and eating whatever your heart desires and dressing all those beautiful angels with you.”

His ex-wife, Suzie, also wrote a moving tribute on social media days after his death.

“Daniel touched so many lives through his incredible talent, craftsmanship and vision of beauty,” she said.

“He will always be lovingly remembered for his wicked sense of humor and sharp wit, appreciation for French champagne, diamonds and jewels, yellow roses, love of good parties, expensive cars and dancing like everyone is watching.” (because it was!) .

“Now you are safe and you can go back to being the man you want to be in heaven by dressing all those beautiful angels in your creations.”
