Daniel Levy ‘IGNORE Bayern Munich deadline for £86m transfer to Harry Kane’ with two clubs locked in negotiations for England superstar

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has bullishly ignored Bayern Munich’s transfer deadline over a move from Harry Kane, according to a report in Germany.

The German champions had asked Levy to make a decision on the sale of Kane on Saturday morning after raising their offer to a ‘very reasonable offer’ for the striker, who has only one year left on his contract.

But according to BildLevy traveled to the US this weekend where his family started a two-week vacation, though it is believed he is not on vacation and could be set for talks with owner Joe Lewis — whose family trust owns a majority stake in Spurs — in Florida.

At this point, the reason for the hasty trip to the United States has not been confirmed, although the whereabouts of Lewis, who last month pleaded not guilty to 19 counts of insider trading in New York, has prompted the German outlet to hold talks with the British billionaire.

Bayern were looking for clarity to allow them to move on to other goals if their club record bid of £86.24 million plus add-ons was rejected.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have been hoping to line up with the England skipper in Saturday’s German Super Cup final against RB Leipzig and know the player is happy to accept their challenge, signing a four-year contract worth around £400,000 a week.

Previously, Mail Sport revealed that Bayern have discussed a return to Kane in January to sign him on a reduced fee or on a pre-contract basis for next summer.

Technical director Marco Neppe was a key figure during the negotiations. He met Kane and his family and traveled with CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen for talks in London with Levy.

He believes Kane is committed to the Bayern project and, with Tuchel’s blessing, is willing to try again next year if Levy turns them down.
