Daniel Jones’ inconsistent arm dooms Giants in loss to Cowboys, experts say as New York falls to 1-3

The New York Giants have dropped their 13th straight game to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott following Thursday’s 20-15 loss at MetLife Stadium.

But it wasn’t the NFL’s highest-paid player who dropped the Giants to 1-3. According to fans and media, it was rather the inaccuracy of quarterback Daniel Jones on deep throws that was the cause.

“Daniel Jones was very efficient tonight, which is good.” Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports wrote on X. ‘But with every deep throw his shot failed. The Giants can win games with ‘efficient’ play, but at some point he’s going to have to make those deep shots for the offense to be really good.”

Jones finished Thursday with 281 yards on 29 of 40. His final attempt was, appropriately, an underrated Hail Mary pass that fell into the arms of the Cowboys’ Amani Oruwariye as Dallas improved to 2-2 on the season.
