Daniel Craig’s wife Rachel Weisz reveals their daughter likes watching Star Wars with dad

Rachel Weisz shared a heartwarming story about her four-year-old daughter Grace on Thursday.

The 53-year-old Oscar-winning actress — who has no social media and keeps her personal life private — revealed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that her James Bond husband, Daniel Craig, 55, introduced their daughter to Star Wars.

“Daniel and our daughter watched Star Wars,” Rachel said. “It was like a father-daughter kind of bonding experience, and they started on the original one.”

She explained, “My daughter became obsessed. She kept saying, “Google this. Google this. What does Darth Vader look like under his mask?”

The Bourne Legacy actress explained that her daughter wanted to know all about the mythology and characters and was getting a little too obsessed with Star Wars, so she and Daniel decided it was best to put the binge-watching on hold for now.

“He decided to tell her that Star Wars is broken,” she said.

Rachel explained, “So we were in London when this happened, so she said, ‘Dad said Star Wars is broken,’ so they can’t watch it anymore.” And then we just got to New York and she was like, “Is Star Wars broken in New York too?” And so I said, “Yeah, yeah, it’s broken.”‘

During their father-daughter bonding time, Grace and her 007 dad watched the original three movies in the Star Wars franchise; A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

The Glass Onion star also showed his daughter his cameo appearance as a stormtrooper in The Force Awakens.

Rachel is currently on a whirlwind press tour promoting her new miniseries Dead Ringers, which was released on Amazon Prime on Friday, April 21.

The six-episode miniseries is a gender-swapped adaptation of director David Cronenberg’s 1988 psychological thriller of the same name, which starred Jeremy Irons as twin gynecologists who run an infertility clinic.

Rachel previously spoke of being “obsessed” with the original and brought the idea to remake the film to Amazon, playing both leads.

Set in New York, Weisz plays both Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes.

They work together to push the boundaries of medical ethics in an effort to challenge outdated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront.

“Beverly is altruistic, thoughtful, careful and kind. She wants to change the way women give birth. Elliot is very, very different. She is not altruistic and she pushes the boundaries of what is ethical.’

The Mummy star added, “It’s pretty naughty sometimes. Emotional. Moving. And there’s some humor too – dark, darkly humorous.’

The original film is an adaptation of Bari Wood and Jack Geasland’s 1977 novel Twins, which was loosely based on the true story of twin gynecologists Stewart and Cyril Marcus.

They were both found dead in July 1975 in separate rooms of Cyril’s Manhattan apartment aged just 45, with Stewart dying of a barbiturate overdose and Cyril suspected of possibly committing suicide in a suicide pact after finding his brother dead .
