Daniel Craig sports new long hair do and grey beard alongside Mila Kunis and Josh O’Connor as they are seen for the first time on the set of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

Daniel Craig, Mila Kunis and Josh O’Connor were seen for the first time on the set of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery on Monday.

The actor, 56, who has reprized his role as Detective Benoit Blanc for the third installment, was pictured with long hair and a gray beard.

Production on the highly anticipated who-done-it film started this month and the film is scheduled for release next year.

Details are still being kept under wraps, but it promises to be Detective Benoit’s “most dangerous case yet.”

It is unknown who will play Mila, 40, but she was seen wearing a gray sheriff hat as she walked alongside Josh, 34.

Last month, both stars were confirmed to be joining the cast, with Jeremy Renner returning to the screen following the horrific snow plow accident in 2023 that nearly killed him.

He was seriously injured in the January 1, 2023, accident, which left him with more than 30 broken bones, a collapsed lung and a punctured liver from a shattered rib.

The Netflix production began principal photography on Monday, and director Rian Johnson was excited about the cast he assembled for the film.

“We’ve been very fortunate on each of these films to have assembled some of my favorite actors in the world, and that’s definitely the case here,” he said.

“They’re also all nice people who get along, and that’s the dinner aspect. When you make an ensemble film like this, I think that’s crucial.’

The cast also includes Adam Scott, Glenn Close and Kerry Washington.

Renner plays quite a role in the third film. He appeared in the second film in the form of a bottle of ‘Renning Hot’ habanero chili pepper sauce.

He took that joke to heart and Johnson was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with him.

“Jeremy is a great actor who I have wanted to work with for a long time,” Rian said Tudum from Netflix.

“I was very relieved that he thought the hot sauce thing was funny!” He plays a good role in this one, we keep the sauce out of the picture. Maybe we’ll put a few bottles on the catering table.’

Details of the mystery Blanc must solve are kept secret.

In the short teaser trailer, the narrator simply promises that this is his “most dangerous case yet.”

The first Knives Out takes its title from a Radiohead song, the second from a Beatles song.

The title of the third film comes from a 1997 U2 song, Wake Up Dead Man, from the album Pop.

Johnson previously gave Knives Out fans a taste of what to expect in the latest whodunnit.

He posted on X (formerly Twitter): “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is.

There’s a whole tonal spectrum, from Carr to Christie, and exploring that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc films.

“We’re about to enter the third production, and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where things are going. (sic)’
