Dani Dyer shares upbeat post after breaking down in tears over England’s Euro 2024 final defeat where she supported boyfriend Jarrod Bowen

Dani Dyer shared an optimistic message on Tuesday after breaking down in tears following England’s defeat in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday night.

The 27-year-old Love Island star flew to Berlin, Germany, to support her footballer boyfriend Jarrod Bowen.

But it was not to be for the Three Lions, who lost 2-1 to a strong Spanish team after 90 minutes.

After the loss, Dani was comforted by her father, who is also an actor. Danny put his arm around her when she started to cry as they left the stadium.

Dani, however, seemed to be in a better mood on Wednesday, sharing an Instagram Story in which she said she was packing for a trip, before posing on her grid in a black minidress.

She looked stunning in the thigh-high number, paired with nude Dior slides and a Prada bag.

Dani wore her hair in loose waves over her shoulders and opted for a signature bronze makeup look.

Dani couldn’t contain her sadness as she watched England being defeated by Spain in the final of Euro 2024 at the Olympiastadion on Sunday.

She was spotted in the stands with her father Danny and sister Sunnie, 17, to cheer on her boyfriend and England player Jarrod.

The mother of three walked out of the stands with tears in her eyes, as her father Danny put his arm around her to comfort her.

Dani and Jarrod, 27, have been dating since 2021 and have one-year-old twins, Summer and Star. Dani also has a three-year-old son, Santiago, with ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence.

She showed her support for her right-wing friend by wearing an England shirt with his name and number on the back.

The reality star looked ultra-stylish as she wore a white bubble skirt with a cream handbag and her hair styled in flawless curls.

But she was as devastated as the rest of the country when England failed to win the European Cup for the second time in a row. Sunnie wiped her eyes too.

Millions of fans had flocked to the bars and pubs in the hope that England would finally secure their first victory since the 1966 World Cup.

Supersub Cole Palmer gave the nation renewed confidence with his stunning 73rd-minute equaliser after going behind early in the second half.

Bars and pubs erupted into celebration, with beer being thrown into the air and fans singing ‘it’s coming home’.

But the nation’s hopes and expectations were dashed when Spaniard Mikel Oyarzabal fired the winning goal past Jordan Pickford in the 86th minute.

Dejected fans couldn’t believe it and held their heads in their hands after Gareth Southgate’s men… came painfully close to having the match decided in overtime.

In Berlin, Prince William and Prince George watched visibly bewildered from the stadium, while King Charles urged the team to ‘hold their heads high’.

The defeat was similar to the bitter defeat England suffered at Euro 2020, when the team again finished runners-up to Italy.

But in a moving message, the Prince of Wales told the team: “We are all still so proud of you” after the heartbreaking loss.

Prince William, chairman of the FA and later the Three Lions’ runner-up, said: ‘It just wasn’t meant to be.’
