Dani Dyer took to Instagram on Sunday to explain the origins behind her newborn twin girls’ names.
The former Love Island castmate, 26, shared her daughters’ names with her 3.7 million followers on Thursday.
The reality star revealed that she and her West Ham boyfriend Jarrod Bowen, 26, have chosen the names Star and Summer for their bundles of joy.
In a Q&A Instagram story, Dani delved deeper into the decisions behind the names, after being questioned by a fan about the choice.
She explained that Star has been a fond name for her since she was a child.

Summer, on the other hand, had been one of Jarrod’s own favorite names.
In the story, the mother of three wrote: “I have always loved the name Star since I was a little girl and have watched the movie the lost boys and the vampire called star.”
She continued, “Jarrod always loved the name Summer, so it was an easy decision!”
Despite the easy decision, the starlet revealed she had a backup name in mind.
She wrote, “I loved the name Luna too.”
The twins are the first set of children of the couple they share.
Dani has a son Santiago, two, from her previous relationship with Sammy Kimmence.
Dani praised her young son in the Q&A, explaining that he has been “brilliant” with his young sisters.

She also assured fans that he was still “getting a lot of love and attention.”
She wrote: ‘[Santi] has been so brilliant, bless him. He loves to cuddle with them, but he also just keeps being himself. So proud of him’
She continued, “I think it was me who was more concerned than anything, but he’s really adjusted.”
She concluded with, “Everyone who came by gave him a lot of attention.”
While praising her young son, she also admitted to fans that his potty training was not going well.
In response to a fan’s question about how things went, she revealed that it had been “terrible.”
However, she said she hoped the warmer weather would help things move forward.
She wrote: ‘[Potty training has been] awful if I’m honest.’
She continued, “I’m going to try again now that the weather is getting warmer and hopefully it will be a success.”
The young celebrity answered many other questions curious fans had, including the weight of her young babes.
She explained how she finds it easy to tell the girls apart despite being identical twins, partly due to Star’s smaller size.
She also shared her theory that Summer is more like their father.
The mother wrote, “I can really tell the difference between the girls…I thought I couldn’t, but maybe they aren’t so identical.”
She continued, “I think where Star is smaller it’s easier to see, but I think Summer is more like Jarrod.”
The star also gave a candid insight into family life now that she was a mother of three.

She explained that while she loved her family of five, she knew some days would be harder than others.
She wrote, “I love our little family. I’m sure some days are harder than others, but I guess it’s just about accepting help when it’s offered!’
She continued, “Jarrod’s mom stayed with me for the first week and my mom was around every day to help me with night feeds while Jarrod was away playing football.”
She concluded by saying, “I’m just trying to find a new routine and get out of the house more in the coming weeks.”
Dani first revealed the names of her newborn daughters via Instagram on Thursday.
She welcomed twin girls with Jarrod Bowen on May 22 and shared on Instagram a week later.
She shared an adorable new photo of her daughters wearing personalized baby clothes and announced they were named Summer and Star, opting for monikers starting with S to match her son Santiago.
She wrote: ‘Summer & Star.. Our first week together and enjoying every moment of the newborn bubble.
“It was great to see santi being a big brother. He has melted my heart in ways I couldn’t imagine and he suddenly feels like such a big boy. My heart feels so full and so excited for our journey together as a family of 5 [sic].’
The arrival of Dani’s babies came just a day after she saw Jarrod score in West Ham United’s last home game of the season, a 3-1 win over Leeds United.
She gave a first glimpse of her adorable newborns last week, sharing a photo of the twins in their hospital bed.
While she didn’t reveal their names, Dani revealed that her daughters were born on Monday, captioning the photo: “22.05.23 [heart].’
Jarred shared the same image on his story as he gushed, “The best week of my life.”
The couple’s friends and loved ones were quick to offer their congratulations, with Dani’s famous dad Danny Dyer commenting, “Can’t stop smiling. ❤️❤️’
TOWIE star Georgia Kousoulou was quick to write “Beautiful ❤️❤️Can’t wait to meet them,” while Ashley James wrote, “Oh wow congratulations ❤️.”
Just a day before the birth, Dani remained active and supported Jarrod in a game where West Ham won 3-1 against Leeds United.
Dani initially thought she was only pregnant with one child when she found out the news, before being told they were twins during a scan on Nov. 29.
She announced the news in late January, writing on Instagram: ‘We’ve been keeping a little secret… Our little TWINS ♡ ♡ So excited to meet our babies and see how santi is the best big brother..
“The biggest surprise of our lives, but we feel SO blessed.. our family is getting a lot bigger and we can’t wait.”
The star, who is the daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, was inundated with congratulations, including several from her fellow Love Islanders.

Dani has been open with her followers throughout her pregnancy, revealing that she signed herself up for a C-section.
Dani has been in a relationship with Jarrod since 2021, after revealing that he was the one who slipped into her DMs.
She said, ‘It slipped into mine…but I had to give him my number. I can’t do the DMs for days haha x.”
