Dani Alves is granted release from jail on bail – priced at €1MILLION – while Barcelona and Brazil superstar, 40, appeals against his four-and-a-half year prison sentence for rape

Former Barcelona and Brazil defender Dani Alves has been released on €1 million bail after appealing his four-and-a-half year prison sentence for rape.

Alves was found guilty of raping a woman in a Barcelona nightclub in the early hours of December 31, 2022 following his trial last month, and has been held in Barcelona’s Brians 2 prison since January 2023.
