Dancing On Ice’s Ekin-Su to play a NUN in Sound Of Music routine as she says she has ‘no regrets’ for Britney’s daring costume after 112 Ofcom complaints
She made her Dancing On Ice debut in a daring sheer, sparkly leotard for a Britney-inspired routine dubbed “sexiest ever.”
But Ekin-Su Culculoglu’s skate next Sunday will take a completely different focus, as she transforms into the nun Sister Maria for a Sound Of Music themed skate.
Insisting that she has “no regrets” about her Britney costume, Ekin-Su, 28, says she’s ready to channel her inner Julie Andrews as Maria von Trapp.
World apart: Ekin-Su made her Dancing On Ice debut in a daring leotard for a Britney-inspired routine, but her skate next Sunday will take an entirely different approach.
Reflecting on the 112 Ofcom complaints he received about his Toxic routine, the Love Island star said: “Whoever you see in the performance, whether they’re playing Britney Spears or Maria from The Sound of Music, I’ll be that person.”
‘With Britney, I was having fun, couldn’t have done better in my opinion, no regrets at all. I played her and now she’s over,’ she added. Sun.
“This time I’m going to play a character from The Sound of Music and I’m going to be like I’m supposed to be: it’s a character. People forget that I’m an actress. If they asked me to play Henry VIII on ice, I would do it.

In her first performance, Ekin-Su recreated her famous crawling scene from Love Island while dancing to Britney’s smash hit, Toxic, with partner Brendyn Hatfield.
But it wasn’t so well received by everyone, with the show receiving over 100 complaints from Ofcom after the routine, with the Turkish beauty finding herself with the fewest public votes.
She certainly brought some fire to the runway, stepping out in a nude mesh jumpsuit with spectacularly embellished detail.
The actress dragged herself across the ice during the performance, an ode to the famous Love Island scene in which she dragged herself across the villa’s terrace to kiss compatriot Jay Younger behind her partner Davide Sanclimenti’s back.
Steamy – While the sultry routine also saw her lay on her back and be pulled into the arms of her partner Brendyn, complete with plenty of animated facial expressions.

The sultry routine also saw her lie on her back and be swept into the arms of her partner Brendyn, complete with plenty of animated facial expressions.
Ekin-Su and Brendyn were placed in the middle of the leaderboard by the judges, who gave a score of 21.5.
But while they agreed that the star certainly had sex appeal, they expected a bit more from the performance and she landed the skate off.
Many viewers also took to social media to call the routine “not appropriate” for the family-friendly show, which airs before the turning point.
The judges saved her last Sunday after footballer John Fashanu became the first star to be removed from the ITV series.
Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean agreed and voted for Ekin-Su to stay in the competition as she included “more technical skating in her routine”.
Dancing On Ice starts at 6:30pm every Sunday on ITV1 and ITVX.
