A 76-year-old lollipop dancer and TikTok sensation has amassed 84 million views with his hip-hop routines, and counts Lizzo and Beyonce as two of his fans.

Brian Kilgallon began learning dance routines with his 28-year-old son Jay Scott in June 2020 and their videos have gone viral.

Mr. Kilgallon takes just 25 minutes to learn a dance and he loves dressing up in his son’s clothes to film the routines.

Still working as a popsicle delivery man, he said he is recognized at work and honked at by passersby.

Brian Kilgallon, 76, started learning dance routines with his son Jay Scott, 28, in June 2020 and they’ve exploded on TikTok.

The father, from Oldbury, West Midlands, said: ‘It keeps me young. I’m lovin ‘it.

I didn’t even know who Lizzo was, but Beyoncé watches us. When Jay talked about TikTok at the beginning, I was like “Is that ice cream?”

‘I want to show older people that their life doesn’t stop. Age is just a number.’

The duo explained that the dance helps maintain their close bond between father and son, as they aim to hit 100 million views this year.

Still working as a paddle man, Mr. Kilgallon said he is recognized while at work when passersby honk their horns.

“He is the best son in the world,” said Mr. Kilgallon.

Jay, a professional dancer and singer, decided to teach his dad a dance for Father’s Day in 2020 after being stuck at home due to the pandemic.

“I put my clothes on him and made him dance,” Jay said.

“I kept filming and teaching her dances and all of a sudden she just blew up.”

The father and son have had Lizzo comment on their videos and Beyoncé is believed to see the couple.

The father said:

The father added: “When I’m working as a lollipop man, people stop and honk their horns and say ‘TikTok lollipop man.'”

‘It was amazing to get 84 million views. I wanted to become famous as a footballer.

“At 76 I never thought this would happen to me.”
