Dance Moms star Christi Lukasiak, 47, is ARRESTED for a DUI after ‘crashing her car into a tree’ in Pennsylvania

Former Dance Moms star Christi Lukasiak has reportedly been arrested for driving under the influence after “crashing her car into a tree” in Pennsylvania.

Christi, 47, who appeared on four seasons of the hit reality series Lifetime with her 23-year-old daughter Chloe, was reportedly arrested by police on June 27 after she was involved in a crash that left “a telephone pole hanging over her car,” according to TMZ.

The outlet, which obtained a copy of the Westmoreland County police report, reported that police noticed Christi had “bloodshot and glassy eyes and slurred speech” and that one of the officers “reported that her breath smelled of alcohol.”

According to the police report, Christi, a mother of two, admitted to drinking two glasses of wine before getting into her car. She also took a preliminary breath test, which came back positive.

The officers also asked her to undergo a number of field tests, which would have revealed she was under the influence and unable to safely operate her car.

During her appearance on the show, Christi was often seen enjoying a glass of wine with the other mothers and often joked about getting drunk.

In the third season, dance teacher Abby Lee Miller suspended Christi and her daughter Chloe from the team after the mother of two got into a fight with another mother on a street in New Orleans while they were drinking.

As she reflects on her time on the reality series, Huffington Post In 2012, she criticised rumors that she was a “huge drinker.”

“If there’s one thing I would change about last season, it’s my drinking jokes,” she wrote. “That’s just what I do, I’m very sarcastic.”

‘My jokes, combined with a couple of scenes where Kelly and I are having a glass of wine, created a lot of fuss about the fact that I was a huge drinker.

‘That’s not the case. I don’t even have a bottle of wine in the house.

“But I do enjoy having a cocktail with friends, I’m an adult. But I would definitely change that perception if I could.”

Christi admitted that she struggled with the overwhelming attention the show brought to her and her daughter.

She claimed she was “criticised about everything” – “from her decision to go on the show, to her parenting skills, to the type of jam she put on her sandwiches.”

“At first I read everything that was written and I was really angry about what people were saying,” she continues.

“But I had to remind myself who I really am and feel comfortable in my own skin. I just stay away from the internet now.”

Christi and Chloe left the show after the fourth season after Christi got into a heated argument with Abby over claims that the dance teacher was bullying her child.

Christi exploded in anger after Abby said backstage at Nationals that her daughter had no “technique.”

“That’s your fault. You’re her tech teacher,” Christi screamed. “Don’t say bad things about my daughter.

“You were nobody to these kids. Guess who you made a household name? Them. [My daughter] has more class in her little finger than you have in that big body at 45.’

Abby responded that Chloe was “done” and “finished,” which only made Christ angrier.

“How dare you? You don’t know anything about my child,” she snapped as Abby walked away.

‘What a mean person she can be. She can’t stand it when my daughter does something, despite her.’

Christi and Chloe briefly reappeared on screen in season seven and recently returned for Lifetime’s Dance Moms: The Reunion, though Christi was not present for the taping and only participated via FaceTime.
