‘He was caught up in the moment… I saw him pounding a bottle of Proper 12 too!’: Dana White has ‘no problem’ with Conor McGregor’s antics at Bare Knuckle FC event after UFC star took on Mike Perry and draped belt from rival promotion over his shoulder
- Conor McGregor came to the Bare Knuckle Boxing event and entered the ring
- Dana White says he wasn’t annoyed by the turnout at rival promotions
- UFC president said, “I saw him stomping on a bottle of Proper 12 too!”
Dana White has maintained that he took issue with Conor McGregor who showed up at a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event and joked that the Irishman’s antics were caused by “banging a bottle of Proper 12.”
The UFC president was asked if he minded McGregor drawing attention to a rival fight promotion, with the ‘Notorious’ entering the ring late last month to take on Mike Perry.
He even wore a BKFC belt and shouted instructions to former UFC opponents Chad Mendes and Eddie Alvarez during their fight.
White laughed it off, telling Barstool Sports, “I think Conor went out and had fun and got caught up in the moment.
“The dude called him into the ring. You know, he did. I also saw him stomping on a bottle of Proper 12. I’m sure that had something to do with it too.

‘Listen, dude. In the end, Conor did a lot here. He’s made a lot of money. The man is having fun and it’s all good.’
Asked if he had any objections to the incident, White said, “Not at all. Not even a little bit.’
McGregor is preparing to fight Michael Chandler in his comeback fight after being away from competitive MMA for over two years following his broken leg.
The pair have filmed a series of The Ultimate Fighter as rival coaches and their fight is highly anticipated, although the exact date remains unknown.
White added, “Obviously the show needs to air. We’re going to find out. I saw a picture of Conor today where he looks slimmer, like he’s starting to lose weight.
‘We will see. This guy is going through a lot of crap with his body after breaking his tibia. Believe me, as soon as we can get it done, we will get it done.’
McGregor shared a photo on his Instagram of him facing off against Perry, who defeated former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in his bare-knuckle fight.
The Dubliner wrote: ‘Call me a “sticky” bare leg. Styles make battles. As well as rule sets. As well as everything. If you’re scared, go to church. I was called into the bare knuckle ring last night. I fear nothing. No human breathes air. I only fear God and stay with God and if God leads me to a professional bare-knuckle fight in my time for my new world title then I will.

‘Great night last night. It is certainly very interesting there. Congratulations to the fighters. Two of my old enemies competed in a barn breaker and a man who sent Cowboy in a round is now the man in this sport to beat a former world middleweight champion. Incredible.
‘Just think about that. As fans, understand what fighting is. Keep in mind. What fighting is, every day is a new day. Any fight with any person on any given day.
‘Is different. That’s why I like it so much. That’s why I have so much respect for it. Fighting is different. The end of.
“This fight took place in the 185lb division. I haven’t fought that weight before, but I can get there nicely as a fridge freezer. Certainly. Who knows if God and I trust in God.’
