The rabid Republicans, the British-hating BBC and the shameless Sussexes have lost.
On a glorious day for Britain, unaffected by the soggy weather, the British Royal Family showed why the monarchy in this country will continue well beyond the reign of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
In a timeless coronation ceremony, rich in tradition but with an appropriate degree of modernization, the power of the Crown was displayed to a global audience of billions.
And King Charles III got the moment he’s been waiting for for 70 years – I haven’t always been his biggest fan, but he hasn’t stepped foot wrong since his mother’s death and he deserves our support.
So how must Prince Harry have felt watching this historic third-row service with similarly-inducted royals, knowing that he’s spent the past three years trying to torpedo the institution his beloved grandmother worked so hard for?
The Duke of Sussex, 38, finally emerged this morning as he entered the church in central London along with other members of the royal family, before being seen alone down the aisle
Harry makes an uneasy face as he takes his seat in Westminster Abbey
The cheeky chappy facade on full display as he sauntered into Westminster Abbey and joked as if he owned it hid a reality more brutal than a receding hairline that made his mockery of his brother’s balding skin in his autobiography Spare even more hypocritical. made.
The fifth in line to the throne has missed the part of his life – and deep down he knows it.
The wish of his late mother, Princess Diana, was that her youngest son would be there to support Prince William through what she knew would undoubtedly be an ordeal for Charles III, who tries to follow the GOAT.
But that was before William found Kate, Diana’s successor as Princess of Wales, who showed today how her beautiful family represents the future of the monarchy.
And didn’t Prince George, Princess Charlotte and little Louis make their grandfather proud today as they made our collective hearts swell.
The Wales are a family united in service and duty.
It was especially moving to see the bond between father and son shortly after the most sacred moment of the coronation ceremony.
Charles and William, whose once shaky relationship has turned into an unbreakable union of mutual respect and love, have never been more one.
Harry, on the other hand, walked into the abbey isolated and alone, a painful representation of how his family and most of the country now feel about him as a direct result of his destructive behavior.
Too bad the BBC didn’t put a camera on the duke during the controversial Oath of Allegiance: ‘I swear that I will be true to your Majesty, and to your heirs and successors according to law. So help me God.’
If Harry has joined millions of us in taking the oath, surely he should quickly call his publisher Penguin Random House and ask to pulverize every copy of his insidious moan fest Spare?
My prediction is that he muttered with the same lack of conviction in which he sang God Save the King at the late Queen’s funeral.
Unfortunately, the heavens opened in London during the ceremony.
I like to think they were the tears of Meghan Markle watching the wall-to-wall coverage of the coronation on US TV from her mansion in Montecito, furious that the world was once again realizing how much they love the important traditions of the British monarchy.
Despite the weather, there were many small blessings to be happy about today.
Regal Tory Penny Mourdant no doubt privately thanked her lucky stars that Rishi Sunak never promoted her to a higher cabinet position so she could play a pivotal role in history and polish her credentials for a future run at the top job.
Camilla looked truly overwhelmed as she was formally crowned queen, no doubt wryly wondering, “How the hell did I get here?”
And thank goodness the pen used by the new king early in the service did not leak.
But what about Meghan Markle’s Republican disciples who caused unrest in the streets of London, who shamefully tried to distract the horses during the procession, screaming into the abyss as 90 percent of the country realized that today was a moment of should be unity, unhampered by divisive politics?
Outside of the BBC, Woke ITV and Sly News, who have suddenly become obsessed with their minority cause, they have thankfully turned out to be irrelevant today.
DAN WOOTTON: Unfortunately, during the ceremony, the heavens opened in London. I believe today’s perfect ceremony, the culmination of the most emotional seven months of grief and transition since the late Queen’s death, ensures this won’t be the last coronation, argues DAN WOOTTON (pictured)
But the biased and unpatriotic broadcast media have once again shown how out of touch with the population they claim to represent, with their Republican fervor on full display over the past 24 hours.
The British Bashing Corporation couldn’t help but mock the festivities, with royal correspondent Jonny Dymond labeling the ceremony as ‘the strangest show in town’ and Claudia Winkleman using her Radio 2 show to mock the Coronation weekend as ‘ Tory Christmas’.
The Beeb may scoff at our proud traditions so much, but they will undoubtedly be wrong.
I believe today’s perfect ceremony, the culmination of the most emotional seven months of grief and transition since the late Queen’s death, assures that this will not be the last coronation.
