Dan Walker looks well at Ultimate News Quiz after bike crash left him with bruised face

Two weeks ago, Dan Walker shocked the nation with a selfie of his bloodied and swollen face after a horrific bicycle accident.

But the 5News presenter, 45, looked like a new man on the Ultimate News Quiz in aid of Action for Children at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on Thursday night.

Dressed in a dark blue suit and sleek brown brogues, Dan flashed a big smile for the cameras before the star-studded event began.

She also marked the occasion by posting a selfie with Sally on her Instagram page. “Working with this legend tonight on the Ultimate News Quiz,” he captioned the upload.

At the time, Dan wrote: ‘Not quite the week I had planned, but I’m on the mend. I am so grateful for all the kind messages from him and my lovely family and friends. I am also thankful for the paramedics, police and people who took care of me at A & E.’

She later addressed a picture of her battered face during an appearance on The Jeremy Vine Show.

“I’m very grateful to have been cured,” he told the presenter. “Basically, there have been some bumps and bumps and scratches all over the place.

I have a badly damaged hand. I won’t take my pants off, Jeremy, but right now I have a big bruise on my right hip.

Dan said he was “very grateful” to the paramedics, the police and those who cared for him at the hospital.

He also revealed that the police had informed him that five members of the public had sat with him for 25 minutes until the ambulance showed up.
