Dan Snyder’s future as Commanders owner is ‘on the agenda’ for upcoming NFL meetings after claim he hid a $55 million loan from minority partners … but the league says the only thing discussed is a possible sale of the scandalized billionaire’s $5.6 billion team

Dan Snyder’s future as owner of the Washington Commanders will be discussed at upcoming league meetings in Florida before the biggest annual meeting in Arizona in late March.

The Associated Press reports that the Florida meeting agenda includes the scandalized billionaire, accused of everything from sexual harassment to financial improprieties. However, a league spokesperson denied any scheduled discussion of Snyder in an email to DailyMail.com.

“There are a number of regularly scheduled committee meetings, including a finance committee meeting where the sale of the team could come up,” spokesman Brian McCarthy told DailyMail.com.

A source told the AP that the possibility remains that other owners vote to force Snyder to sell the franchise, valued by Forbes at $5.6 billion. Earlier in October, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said there was “merit in removing” Snyder. Such a move would be unprecedented in the NFL and would require the votes of 24 of the other 31 owners.

Snyder and his wife Tanya announced in November that they had hired a company to explore selling the team, though it’s unclear if they would divest the entire franchise or just a minority stake. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils owner Josh Harris, and Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta are reportedly interested in the Commanders.
