The acting icon has opened up about her ‘proneness’ to falling in love with her theatre colleagues, revealing she was head over heels for her Hamlet stage partner John Neville.

At an event at the Gielgud Theatre in London’s West End in 2022, Judi called their time together in 1958 “wonderful.”

Richard Eden of the Ny Breaking quoted the iconic star as saying: ‘I was in Hamlet with John Neville. He was wonderful. It was beautiful.’

“It doesn’t happen all the time and it doesn’t go to huge extremes, but maybe sharing stage fright is what’s so exciting.”
