Damar Hamlin launches 3forHeart challenge with Tom Brady, LeBron James and Michelle Obama’s help

Damar Hamlin has launched a partnership with the American Heart Association to raise awareness about administering hands-only CPR, and has asked Tom Brady, LeBron James and Michelle Obama for help.

Sharing the video on social media, Hamlin said: ‘What’s up, everyone? It’s Dham. Once again I want to thank everyone for the love and support over the last three weeks.

‘As you know, CPR saved my life earlier this year in the field. And CPR could easily save your life or the life of someone you live with. That’s why I’m proud to announce that I’m partnering with the American Heart Association and launching Damar Hamlin’s CPR Three Heart Challenge. And of course this one has three steps.

‘Step one, go to heart.org/3 to watch a short video to learn Hands-Only CPR.

‘Step two, make a donation to the AHA to fund CPR awareness and education and step three, challenge three friends to do the same.

‘For starters, I’m challenging the goats. LeBron James, Tom Brady and Michelle Obama have all been challenged.

The campaign correlates to Hamlin’s No. 3 he wore for the Bills and Tuesday’s video comes days after Hamlin spoke publicly for the first time following his cardiac arrest playing against the Cincinnati Bengals on Jan. 2.

“I’m so grateful to everyone and I know it’s not enough to be grateful,” Hamlin said via his social media channels on Saturday.

‘This is just the beginning of the impact I wanted to have in the world and with God’s guidance I will continue to do great and wonderful things.

“I couldn’t do this without your support and love and I can’t wait to continue taking you all on this journey with me.”

The brief full video message that lasted five minutes and 48 seconds was captioned by the Bills safety: “From the heart: sincerely 3.”

Hamlin collapsed during a Monday Night Football game between the Bengals and the visiting Bills and was successfully revived on the field by Buffalo training staff before being rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Hamlin shared his full message Saturday in a reel on his Instagram page, followed by 1.8 million people, and the Bills also shared the “special message” Saturday night.

“Now that my brothers have wrapped up a strong winning season while I continue to make a lot of progress in my recovery, I think it’s finally a good time to share a few things,” the thank you clip began.

“I think it was important for me to wait and speak publicly at the right time, as it was a lot to process within myself, mentally, physically and even spiritually.

It’s been a lot to process, but I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all the love, all the support, and everything that has come my way.

“What happened to me at Monday Night Football, I feel is a direct example of God using me as a vessel to share my passion and love straight from my heart with the whole world and now I can give it back to children and communities all over the world. the world that needs it the most and that has always been my dream, that has always been what I defended and what I will continue to defend.

‘That being said, I want to thank a few people who thanked me more directly for coming back to this moment, where I can talk to you.

‘The Bills’ coaching, athletic and medical staff, particularly Nate [Breske]Denny [Kellington]Joe Micca, Tabani, Dr. Bisson, Dr. White, Dr. Kim, Dr. Marc Fineberg, Joe Collins, Dr. Des, Barisa, Dr. Museo, Kori Reblin and last but not least I can’t forget to Kels. [sic].

‘The University of Cincinnati Medical Center, beginning with Dr. Timothy Pritts, Dr. William Knight and all the first responders who acted quickly and skillfully to save my life.

‘To all the medical staff and healthcare providers at both the Cincinnati Medical Center and Buffalo General Hospital, Dr. Jamie Nadler, Dr. Ken Snyder, Dr. Levy, Dr. Chee Kim.

‘To my mom and dad, who are literally my anchors and everything, who never left my side at all times.

‘To my little brother, who is my why, my reason why I strive to be the best of myself, every day and to all my family and friends who supported me in many ways during this time, whether it was coming to visit me or just a single text to check on her.

‘To the Bills Mafia – I just want to say a big thank you for the genuine love and support. Ever since I became Buffalo Bill, there has been nothing but genuine love and support, not just for me but for everyone’s situation, no matter what it was, you know, Bills Mafia jumped after it, gave 110 percent support, love, no matter the situation.

“With this going on I felt nothing less than love and it really helped keep me pumped up to get through the toughest of times and toughest times, I really can’t thank you guys enough.”

“To the entire Bills organization and my brothers who made it a priority for me to lift myself up spiritually, mentally and in every way possible, checking in every day, checking on me, calling me, texting me, checking on me, it doesn’t matter. situation.

‘I am proud to be part of this team. I am proud to be able to call them my brothers. To the city of Cincinnati, to the Bengals, and to the entire NFL, just for putting aside team loyalty to cheer on the life of a child and just the humanity of a player wearing Buffalo blue.

‘You put humanity above team loyalty, you showed world unity over division. It doesn’t surprise me, but I am deeply grateful and will always be grateful and indebted to it.

‘To all the children who sent me heartwarming letters and gifts, you mean the world to me. You made my day every day, you inspired me to keep dreaming big and keep helping this world to be a better place.

“It’s always been important to me to be a role model, but just seeing the love and support from young people makes me want to give back and go out into communities and touch children and be that role model they can look up to.” touch, feel, talk and know that whatever they dream of is real, it can happen, if you stay focused, stay dedicated, stay committed to whatever it is you’re doing.

‘That’s more or less what got me here, that’s what put me in this position. ‘Thank you to everyone who donated in any way to The Chasing M’s Foundation. My mind is literally blown by all the support.

I don’t even have the words to express the gratitude for the enormous support that was given for that. That was something that started long before I even got to the NFL.

‘Something that started small just so it could affect my little community in McKees Rocks. I just wanted to play my part and do my part in my community as I venture out to chase my dreams in the NFL and you guys just took that and blew it up.

“I’m very excited about the things I have planned in the future for these kids across the country now.”

The message ended with Hamlin making a ‘heart’ sign with his hands.
