A gambler who had waited a long time for a parlay to score finally saw his work pay off Thursday evening.
An unknown gambler from Caesars Sportsbook won nearly $100,000 predicting the outcomes of three sports championships.
The three-leg parlay predicted the exact outcome of the Super Bowl and the College Football Playoff National Championship game, along with the Mavericks winning the Western Conference Finals.
All told, the $50 bet had odds of +197,500 and he took back $98,800 when combined with his original stake.
Considering everything that happened on the way there, this wasn’t an easy match to sweat out.

The gambler had waited a while for this parlay to be cashed in with his previous football bets
For starters, the Michigan Wolverines fell behind Alabama in the Rose Bowl and needed overtime to earn a victory over the Crimson Tide.
Then the Washington Huskies pulled off a nail-biter win over the Texas Longhorns in the Sugar Bowl, securing both of their spots in the CFP title game.
That title game itself was a gambler’s cakewalk as Michigan cruised to an easy victory.
But he faced another setback after correctly guessing that the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers would meet in the Super Bowl.
That game ended in overtime, with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs surviving to win another title.
All that remained was Dallas, who did everything they could to win the conference throughout the regular season.
But some trade deadline acquisitions suited Doncic and co’s title aspirations perfectly and they stormed through the Western Conference in the playoffs.
