Dallas Cowboys’ Jerry Jones and Dak Prescott continue openly recruiting free agent Odell Beckham Jr

The Dallas Cowboys remained in full recruiting mode on Thanksgiving after a rival game victory against the New York Giants.

Owner Jerry Jones told reporters he talked to free agent and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and claimed they had a “good meeting,” even though he clarified it wasn’t personal.

According to Fox’s Jay Glazer, Beckham will visit the Cowboys on Monday, December 5.

“Odell could help us. That’s what I believe at this point,” Jones told reporters. “Now we have to make it fit. That’s the challenge.

“I just think overall how we make this fit. All that, the availability is huge, but the financial part is also really huge.’

The Cowboys owner went on to say about Beckham’s knee health and whether he thinks the wide receiver will play this season: “We’ll see. We’ll have to see.

“I haven’t gotten the benefit of his rehab work and where he is. That’s where it is.’

Quarterback Dak Prescott, who also helped recruit, said of Jones’ encounter with Beckham, “He’s not stopping. That’s a good thing.’

Prescott also said he might send a few more texts and wants Beckham to sign with the Cowboys, but the QB of an 8-3 team plans to get some rest first.

Dallas is currently second in the division behind the Philadelphia Eagles who won 9-1.

A receiver of Beckham’s caliber would not only potentially help them gain ground in the division, but more importantly would create one of the league’s most formidable offenses in the postseason.
