Dakota Fanning stars opposite Andrew Scott in the new Netflix neo-noir psychological thriller limited series Ripley.

And on Friday, the former child actor, 30, joined many of her fellow cast and crew for the ATAS Official Screening of Netflix’s Ripley at FYSEE at Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Los Angeles.

Fanning looked elegant in a stylish black dress with a plunging neckline and a small opening above her midriff which she paired with a pair of black heels.

To complete her overall look, Fanning wore her long, straight blonde hair down and kept the jewelry to a minimum.

Scott stars in the title role of Tom Ripley, a hotshot con man in late 1950s New York who is hired by a wealthy man to convince his prodigal son to return home from Italy.

In addition to Scott and Fanning, the cast also includes Johnny Flynn, Eliot Sumner, Margherita Buy, Maurizio Lombardi, plus guests Kenneth Lonergan, Ann Cusack, Bokeem Woodbine, Vittorio Viviani, Louis Hofmann, Fisher Stevens and John Malkovich.

The two leads posed for photos side by side, and were then joined by Sumner, who looked cool and stylish in a black pinstripe suit that he paired with a white T-shirt and black boots.

There is also a group photo of Scott, Fanning and Sumner with David Gropman, Jeff Russo, Steven Zaillian and Robert Elswit.

The series, created, written and directed by Zaillian, is based on the crime novel The Talented Mr. Ripley from 1955 by Patricia Highsmith.

The eight-episode limited series is the first adaptation of Highsmith’s novel into a series.

‘You have eight hours to explore the characters you think you know, either through the book or through the [1999] film adaptation, I thought, “Oh, that’s going to be great,” Fanning said of her role as Marge Sherwood Netflix queue.

She added: I was such an admirer of Steve and Andrew. So then I [was cast as] Marge, I was overcome with excitement. Just hearing Steve’s vision and how committed he was to the story, you knew you would have support. It is so detailed that you always knew exactly where you stood. And that’s what I like as an actor.
