‘I just misjudged his length’: Dak Prescott reflects on early pick-six that saw Cowboys drop early … but led to comeback win over Eagles

Despite the fantastic end result, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott started his day against the Philadelphia Eagles by making a careless mistake.

On their first drive of the day for Dallas, the Cowboys lined up on first-and-10 from their own 47-yard line for the fifth play of the drive.

Prescott dropped back to pass and threw the ball, only to be intercepted by Eagles defensive lineman Josh Sweat.

Sweat grabbed the ball out of the air, dropped Prescott with stiff arms, and rumbled 42 yards for the first touchdown of the day.

After the game, Prescott admitted he made a mistake and felt like a terrible case of déjà vu, leftover from last week’s interception by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

I guess I misjudged its length. She made a great catch,” Prescott said.

“I was chasing him, like, ‘Is this happening again? Oh good. Let me get back on the field, let’s get this going again.'”

Prescott bounced back, came back and led Dallas to a big win over the best team in the league.

Despite the mistake, Prescott was able to overcome and led his team to victory, racking up 347 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-34 victory.

His trainer Mike McCarthy praised Prescott and his work ethic, especially in the face of difficulties.

“Adversity is something you eat for lunch,” McCarthy said. ‘Dak is the same person every day, on fire, in practice, in class. I just think he says a lot about his approach.

With the win, Dallas moves to 11-4 on the season. They will face Tennessee in Nashville next week.
