Dak Prescott injured in Dallas Cowboys loss to Atlanta Falcons as Jerry Jones admits he is ‘concerned’

The Dallas Cowboys lost again in the NFL on Sunday afternoon, but the situation was made worse when quarterback Dak Prescott was ruled out during the game due to a hamstring injury.

The Cowboys now drop to 3-5 after losing to the Atlanta Falcons and have an NFC East matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles next week.

Prescott also appeared to have an injury to his right hand late in the third quarter.

The team confirmed it was the hamstring injury that knocked the quarterback out of the game.

Prescott completed 18 of 24 passes for 133 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions, ending his streak of three straight games with two interceptions. Prescott had three carries for 30 yards.

Cooper Rush replaced Prescott for the Cowboys, who lost 27-21.

Owner Jerry Jones was asked after the game about Prescott missing time.

“Well, that’s what I’m worried about,” Jones said. “It concerned me when I saw the play, when I saw that he had a reaction and whatever weakness he might have had there. We just have to take a look at that.

“I’ll be very frank with you: We need to give Rush a little bit of positivity here, not just a little bit. He came in there and I’m proud of him. I thought he played well.”
