The Ophelia star confirmed her marriage to Tom, 34, earlier this year and she normally keeps their relationship out of the spotlight, but he had written the screenplay for the film.

Speaking with the Radio timesDaisy – who plays Anette in the film – said: “I found that process [of working with my husband] great, because our tastes match almost everything.

‘I think he’s a brilliant writer and we were so clear about what we wanted to make. And we have achieved that.’

Magpie is a contemporary thriller that follows a couple who become confused when their daughter is cast alongside a controversial major star.

It also comes after Daisy revealed she has been diagnosed with Graves’ disease.

Daisy first opened up about her experience with the autoimmune disease during an interview with Women’s health magazinein which she told how she wrongly attributed her complaints to a ‘really stressful’ film role.

Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disease where your immune system produces antibodies that cause the thyroid gland to produce too much thyroid hormone, according to the NHS.

The cause of Graves’ disease is unknown, but the disease mainly affects young or middle-aged women and often runs in families.

After suffering symptoms such as hot flashes and fatigue after filming psychological thriller Magpie, Daisy visited her GP after blaming her health problems on the role.

The Star Wars star opened up about her health struggles, saying it was her “first time” speaking publicly about her Graves’ disease.

She said: “I thought, I’ve just played a very stressful role; That’s probably why I feel bad.’

However, she was then urged to consult an endocrinologist [a medical practitioner who treats patients with hormone-related diseases]who later told her that her symptoms could sometimes be called “tired but tied up.”

The star suffered from symptoms such as hand tremors, rapid heartbeat, weight loss and fatigue.

After becoming aware of what might be happening to her, Daisy had a moment of realization, commenting, “It was funny, I thought, ‘Oh, I just thought I was annoyed with the world,’ but it turns out that everything works. so fast, you can’t relax anymore.’

But while the Young Woman and the Sea star felt sad about her health condition, she also felt some frustration about being someone who took care of herself physically.

Despite this, Daisy has made a number of lifestyle changes to help her manage the disease, including eating a mindful diet that she “isn’t super strict about” and practicing self-care, including exercise, to “give myself a to give you a good feeling’.

After making these changes, the beauty explained that she felt better and was more aware of life around her, noting that she “didn’t realize how bad I felt before.”
