Daisy May Cooper shows off her dramatically slimmed down frame after being teased about weight loss

Daisy May Cooper showed off her dramatic weight loss on the way to Heart Radio on Monday, after being teased about her skinny body in the past.

The actress and comedian, 36, looked effortlessly chic in a black button-up cardigan and figure-hugging black leggings.

She was carrying several shopping bags and a Louis Vuitton bag, while strolling around in a pair of knee-high brown boots.

Her blonde hair was styled in neat waves and she wore a light makeup palette to enhance her natural beauty.

Her weight loss comes after Daisy revealed that she had been teased about her weight loss earlier in October.

She followed the ketogenic (low-carb, high-fat) diet to lose weight after lockdown, but confessed she’s since been inundated with messages telling her she’s “not funny anymore” since she changed her appearance.

In a candid chat with Grazia magazine, Daisy also revealed that humor was also instrumental in her split from husband Will Weston, admitting she was upset that he didn’t find her BBC comedy series This Country funny.

Speaking about her appearance, Daisy said: “I’m so pro-body positivity, but when I was in my prime, I was more miserable and had a massive food addiction.” I was not healthy. I couldn’t breathe when I went up the stairs. I was so unhappy.

And I’ve gotten some messages like, “Well, now that you’ve lost the weight, you’re not funny anymore.” What the hell? Why do women have to be fucking fat to be funny? That makes me so angry. I defend anyone. I think everyone should be happy with her body. But I wasn’t.

Daisy also revealed that one of the reasons behind their divorce was her different sense of humor from her husband.

He rose to fame with the BAFTA-winning BBC mockumentary This Country, which he created, wrote and starred in with his brother Charlie Cooper.

However, Daisy revealed: “I was with a man, just as wonderful as he was, who didn’t find this country funny. It wasn’t his sense of humour.

‘It’s like, how can I be with a man who doesn’t find my comedy funny? That’s fucking crazy! And he deserves better than me because he has things he needs that I can’t give him.

Daisy separated from husband Will Weston in July 2021 after two years of marriage and shortly after their second son, Jack, was born in October 2020. The couple also share a four-year-old daughter, Pip.

After splitting with Will, Daisy dated Ryan Weymouth during a whirlwind five-month romance in which she got his name tattooed on her ring finger.

They ended their relationship around two weeks after she got the tattoo, which she had since covered up, but said she doesn’t care about the inking because she’s making the mistakes she felt she “couldn’t make” before.

Daisy recently said that she now enjoys dating, but is not in a serious relationship, as she admitted that she doesn’t think she can ever live with a man again.

A source told The Sun at the time of their divorce: ‘Daisy said she had grown increasingly tired of married life and was struggling in her relationship with Will.

They ended things for good earlier this year. She has taken off her wedding ring and has been telling her friends that her marriage is over.

He has also removed Will as head of his media business. It’s been a difficult 17 months for everyone and Daisy and Will were no exception.’

Daisy recently admitted that she began considering divorce after reading a heartbreaking post on Mumsnet from a seventy-year-old woman who had felt ‘trapped’ in her marriage.

She said that upon reading the post and then becoming friends with Selin Hizli, an old adversary from drama school, she realized she needed to leave her marriage.

Daisy said that when she became friends with Selin, they talked candidly about what was going on in their lives, with Daisy explaining that she realized what “true love” was because she felt “understood” by her friend.

The pair can currently be seen together on their critically acclaimed BBC series Am I Being Unreasonable? which was inspired in part by Daisy’s marital problems.
