Daisy May Cooper recalled the story of a woman who was “lifted by aliens” while discussing crop circles with her brother Charlie for his TV show.

In a teaser clip ahead of BBC Three’s Myth Country, which airs on Friday, the siblings catch up via FaceTime.

The program sees Charlie touring Britain in a camper van to investigate rural myths and legends.

He called his sister with an update and explained to her: ‘The strangest thing happened today. I even went to my first crop circle.

“As soon as I stepped inside, I got goosebumps and you know, when you rub your head with a balloon, it feels like it’s static.”

Daisy replied, “Do you remember Judy… one time she was walking her dog and the next minute she was like 20 miles away and she is absolutely convinced she was lifted up by aliens. She absolutely believes in crop circles.

“Do you believe her when she says that?”

Charlie responded, “Well, because I’ve been here and been in it, I think it’s a little too obvious to just throw the word alien in because I think there’s something more important about the is in hand.

‘I’m sure the formations are built on energy lines that connect ancient monuments like Stonehenge and Avebury.’

In the brand new factual series, Charlie investigates everything from crop circles and UFOs in Wiltshire to roaming ghost dogs on the coast and countryside of East Anglia.

He will meet the believers and the naysayers, visit iconic locations and collect evidence in an attempt to get to the bottom of the truth.

Earlier this year, MailOnline was unveiled Daisy has earned around £2 million in the past two years, while her acting stock has soared so high that she is being touted as the world’s next M. James Bond.

The uber-talented This Country star has made her fortune starring in big ratings hits such as comedy drama Rain Dogs and Am I Being Unreasonable?

Her firm Daisy Cooper Ltd recently filed its annual accounts, which show it paid £189,601 in corporation tax for the year to March 31, 2023.

At a rate of 19 percent the company made a profit of approximately £997,900.

The year before, in 2022, it paid £155,865 in tax, making a profit of £820,342. Because it is a smaller company, it did not have to file a profit and loss account.

But it wasn’t always that way for Daisy, who based This Country on her and her brother Charlie’s lives, where they were unemployed and wandering around their native Cotswolds with nothing to do.

Charlie Cooper’s Myth Country starts on October 4 at 9pm on BBC Three, with episodes available on iPlayer.
