A father has become a viral sensation after he hilariously announced he was leaving his family group chat, claiming he “couldn’t live with the pressure” of having to respond to “random thoughts, pictures and fun.” of all.
Allison D’Orazio, 23, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, shared a screenshot of her father Thomas D’Orazio’s healthy exit from the chat to Twitterand sparked an outpouring of praise from millions who admitted that they, too, feel the same way about group messaging.
“I can’t keep up with the pressure of having to hahaha I either like or love everyone’s random thoughts and pictures and fun,” she stated.
‘For all future texts: I love them, I laugh at them, or I like them, unless it’s bad, then I dislike them. In perpetuity. I can’t live with this pressure. I’m out.’

“My dad seriously sent this to our family group chat I’m crying,” Allison captioned the tweet, which has now been retweeted more than 40,000 times and liked more than 422,000 times.
Many people were quick to praise Thomas, who works as an ophthalmologist, as “so real” and relatable for his statement, with some saying they also hate the demand that being part of a chain full of people can bring.
“Literally me,” wrote one person, while another added, “My kind of person,” with a heart.

As for what prompted her now-viral message, she explained that the women sent each other various links that they “found funny,” as well as photos of what they were doing.
“We were sending out a bunch of article links to things we thought were fun,” he told the publication.
“And that day I was working on a sewing project and I was sending pictures of my stitches because I was learning to sew and I was excited about them.”
She added that her father “loves to participate and interact” with her posts, so he “felt the pressure to like everything” they sent him, which is difficult with his busy schedule as a doctor.
Allison told Good Morning America that the group chat consists of her, her father, her mother, Amy, and her 19-year-old younger sister, Alexa. She is seen as a baby with her parents.
As for what prompted her now-viral message, she explained that the women sent each other various links that they “found funny,” as well as photos of what they were doing.
And despite claiming that he was “out” at the time, she said that Thomas (seen in a flashback photo with his daughters) ultimately decided to stay in the family group chat.
‘He basically didn’t [look at his phone] until your lunch hour and then [he doesn’t again] until the end of the day, so when she reads her phone after dates, there has to be so many texts,” she revealed.
‘He probably thinks there’s a fire or something when it’s just our random stuff.’
And despite claiming he was “out” at the time, he said Thomas ultimately decided to stay in the family group chat.
“He’s an introvert but he loves us,” she added. He would be happy if we were his only friends and his whole life. He knew that he was joking.
And now, she’s certainly enjoying her newfound fame and internet attention, with Allison concluding, “She was like, ‘Oh, great, now people are going to expect it to be funny all the time.'” And he was like, “Now that’s a LOL.”
