The father of an alleged ‘predator’ was heard defending his daughter to police when a search warrant was served on his property.
Alyssa Zinger, now 23, is accused of posing as a 14-year-old homeschooled girl to prey on teenage boys (one as young as 12) to perform sex acts when she was 21.
Now new bodycam footage has captured her father’s reaction when police showed up at his door and insinuated that his daughter was the one who had been abused.
Investigators executed a search warrant at the Zinger family home on November 24, 2023 to seize Alyssa’s cell phone following allegations of an alleged pornographic video featuring her and the young victim.
Her father spoke to police outside his home and said his “beautiful young daughter” had “a lot of problems” and “mental problems.”
“We have done nothing but be 100 percent cooperative,” he said, shrugging as he was told they could not enter their home until the order arrived.
After admitting that the situation is “crap” because he can’t get in while police are working, he added that Zinger “got involved with the wrong kid, even though he’s a lot younger.”
“My daughter has never had any problems in her life – even though he is young, she had never had any problems in her life – until she started bonding with him,” he said in the footage.
Alyssa Ann Zinger, 23, of Tampa, Florida, allegedly posed as a homeschooled 14-year-old girl to prey on high school students and perform sex acts on younger boys
“My daughter has never had any problems in her life – even though he is young, she had never had any problems in her life – until she started having a relationship with him,” Zinger’s father said before police searched his home looking for his daughter’s cell. telephone
He then called the young victim “insane” and said, “Like I said, my daughter has never been in trouble in her life, this boy is 14 years old, he has girls at his house, he videos them and makes porn at the age of 14.
“My daughter is 22, she was a virgin until she was 21.”
Zinger was arrested in November 2023 for allegedly performing more than thirty sex acts on young boys with at least five victims.
It is alleged she posed as a homeschooled teenager and contacted the victim on Snapchat before allegedly having a sexual relationship with him.
She was then arrested a second time with additional sex crimes charges, when four more victims said they were also targeted by Zinger.
Authorities said she had sexual intercourse with the first victim multiple times and sent pornographic videos to several children via Snapchat.
She has been charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and five counts of lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim between the ages of 12 and 15. The age of consent in Florida is 18.
Court records show Zinger waived her right to arraignment and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
She was released from the Orient Road jail on Nov. 24, a day after her arrest, and posted $7,500 bail on each second-degree felony count, records show.
The 23-year-old was arrested in November for engaging in more than 30 sex acts with at least one student as young as 12 at Wilson Middle School.
According to search warrants, Zinger and the victim allegedly met via Snapchat in late May 2023. Until their breakup in September, the victim thought she was 14 years old.
After officials interviewed the victim, it was revealed that the suspect had engaged in sexual activity with him approximately thirty times and told him that she had abused other boys in the past.
Chief Lee Bercaw of the Tampa Police Department said, “It is disturbing and disturbing to see an adult taking advantage of and preying on a child.
“Anyone who may have been victimized by Zinger, we encourage you to come forward. The Tampa Police Department will support you and ensure that a predator like Zinger does not cause additional harm to you or others.”
In July, the suspect and victim were caught shoplifting from Nordstrom at International Plaza and Bay Street.
She identified herself to an officer by her real name, but said she was born in 2009. The officer was unable to find any information about her with the 2009 birth date she provided, but found one for Alyssa Ann Zinger, born in 2001.
Chief Lee Bercaw of the Tampa Police Department said, “It is disturbing and disturbing to see an adult taking advantage of and preying on a child.”
She told the officer she had a half-sister with the same name. But after the relationship came to light, employers at a Tampa Publix where Zinger worked also confirmed that she was an adult.
In April earlier this year, Zinger was denied bail after Judge Laura Ward said no release would provide the safeguards to keep the community safe, according to Fox 13.
“You don’t really seem to understand the problem here,” Judge Ward said. “You’re the problem here. Your actions against these boys are illegal. And it doesn’t matter if they made the video or you made the video. You’re the only adult.’
In June, after she requested pretrial release, it was agreed that Zinger would remain in prison until her trial.
