Czech law student Krystyna Pyszková, 23, is crowned Miss World 2024 at glitzy ceremony in Mumbai
A Czech law student was crowned Miss World 2024 in Mumbai today.
Krystyna Pyszková managed to beat 111 other title holders from around the world for the prestigious title, while Lebanon’s Yasmina Zaytoun finished in second place.
Dressed in a dazzling, see-through diamond dress that emphasized her slim figure, the 23-year-old certainly looked like a winner.
When it was the top eight remaining consents, they were asked questions about topics discussed at the G20 summit.
Krystyna was asked about the issues surrounding women’s health care, to which she responded that we need to remove the stigma and shame surrounding menstruation.
The model said that ‘being a woman is a gift’ and that menstruation should not be a taboo.

No Miss World pageant was held in 2023 due to scheduling issues and this year’s competition was held in Mumbai, India.
The blonde beauty beamed as she posed on stage with other contestants, who were thrilled to see their friend scoop the prize.
She paired an angelic white feathered cape with her silver maxi dress and wore a pair of diamond earrings.
Krystyna wore her golden locks in a curly blow-dry and opted for full-glam eye makeup and subtle pink lipstick.
Her predecessor wore a sparkling green dress and smiled as she placed her crown on Krystyna’s head.
During the competition, participants took part in a series of events including fitness, beauty, talent and public speaking.
Miss World is considered the oldest international beauty pageant, founded in Great Britain in 1951 by Eric Morley.
It was part of the Festival of Britain celebrations and was known as the Festival Bikini Contest.
The original purpose of the event was to promote the bikini, a fairly new addition to the fashion market.
It was reportedly the press that dubbed the competition, which was considered by many at the time to be rather immodest, ‘Miss World’.
To counter this, the pageant eventually introduced a new slogan in 1980: Beauty With a Purpose.
The participants were given the additional challenges of intelligence and personality tests.
But this was not enough for the BBC to continue broadcasting the event and dropped it in 1984, after which it was moved to various channels including ITV, Thames Television, Sky One and Channel 5.

BBC1 controller Michael Grade dropped the show, saying: ‘I believe these matches no longer deserve national airtime. They are an anachronism in this time of equality and limits to the offensive.’
Some of the competition’s most notable alumni include successful actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who won in 2000.
This comes as 26-year-old Carolina Shiino bagged the top prize at the Miss Japan beauty pageant in January.
But her win at the 56th edition of the award has sparked fierce debate in Japan about what it means to be Japanese… because she was born in Ukraine.
Born in 1998, she moved to Japan – where she grew up in Nagoya – at the age of five after her Ukrainian mother remarried a Japanese man.
Some people have recognized her win as a “sign of the times,” while others said she doesn’t look like a typical “Miss Japan.”
Her win comes after a similar debate arose in 2015 when Ariana Miyamoto became the first biracial woman to be crowned Miss Japan.
With a Japanese mother and an African-American father, Ms. Miyamoto’s victory also sparked a debate over whether someone of mixed race should be eligible.
Now that the award is being presented to someone without Japanese ancestry, people are once again up in arms about the outcome of the election.
However, after a local Japanese magazine, Shukan Bunshan, revealed that Ms. Shino was having an affair with married doctor and influencer Takuma Maeda, also known as Muscle Doctor, she resigned.
