Cynthia Nixon supports the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike by wearing a t-shirt for the unions while in New York City…just days before the finale of And Just Like That…Season 2
Just over a month after the SAG-AFTRA strike and nearly four months after the WGA strike, Cynthia Nixon wore a T-shirt in support of both unions.
The 57-year-old actress was spotted wearing an army green T-shirt that read ‘WGA supports SAG-AFTRA. Like it’s 1960 again.’
The year 1960 the shirt refers to was the last time both the Writers Guild of American and the Screen Actors Guild (before merging with the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists in 2012) went on strike together.
The outing comes just days before the highly anticipated season 2 finale of Nixon’s Max series And Just Like That…
It’s already been confirmed that original Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall will return for the first time as Samantha Jones on the spin-off series with a cameo in the season 2 finale… although Nixon admitted in June that “the chances are very big’. ,very small’ Cattrall will return regularly.

The actress stepped out with a backpack tied to her back and accessorized with gold earrings and a one-of-a-kind silver necklace.
She also accessorized with a silver bracelet and silver rings to match her necklace, while carrying her phone, a water bottle and a plant in a blue plastic bag.
Nixon completed her look with light blue wide-leg jeans and brown flats for her afternoon outing.
Nixon was appearing on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live in June when she was asked by a fan, “Cynthia, with Kim making a small cameo this season, what do you think the chances are she’ll be in a bigger role in season three?” to appear? ?’
“I think very, very small. It was a cameo, I think it was a special treat for the 25th anniversary,” Nixon said.
She added, “we tried so hard to keep it quiet. We’re really sorry it came out. It would have been so much fun if you were watching the episode and she just popped up.
Max has yet to renew And Just Like That… for a third season, and it’s unclear when the streaming service will make a decision on the series’ fate.
Variety’s original report revealed that Cattrall shot her one scene on March 22 in New York City and did not interact with King’s cast at all.

Towards the end of the first season, Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw contacts Cattrall’s Jones via text, and in the Season 1 finale, they make plans to reconcile in person.
In addition to starring in And Just Like That…, Nixon also directed two back-to-back episodes in Season 2, the fifth and sixth episodes titled Trick or Treat and Bomb Cyclone.
She also directed the sixth episode of the first season titled Diwali and three off-Broadway theatrical productions as well.
The actress also last appeared in The Gilded Age last year.
